where does the green mold come from i forget the name triga something? it's shown in the RR videos. because the two jars i inoculated with 20 cc's each of fresh spores from a dried cap are going to shit i think. one i tossed and one made it to the FC but is starting to for the green mold i beilve. is it just one of those if it happens it happens things or is it preventable?

I think it could already be in the verm so if you don't PC properly, it would remain alive and thrive, or could be in the air and could contaminate while you're inoculating. Also, if you don't have a dry layer of verm or if it's too thin, it could be present in your incubator and could get inside the jar thru there...

yes and it could be in the syringe too if you dont have a sterile spore syringe or a sterile spore print.
really i would think the most common would be airborne like in your house/apartment/flat/condominium/etc.. which is why lots of people advocate air/glove boxes.
trich is trichoderma spp. or mold..

Mold spores are EVERYWHEREin the air we breath. Trichoderma spores are almost always present, they are of course microscopic so we don't see them around us. That is why we go through so much to provide a sterile environment during the inoculation procedure. Sterile technique is almost an "art form". Buy yourself an inexpensive pressure cooker from Wally World and build yourself a cheap "Still air" box, and watch your success rate go up right away! Oh, and by the way....... You inoculated each jar with 20 cc's! That would instantly throw your moisture content out of whack! You should only use about 1 cc total per jar if you have 4 holes on the lid, (1/4 cc per inoculation point). What kind of set up do you have? Do you have pics?

well this is just an experimental setup and the 20 cc's was an experiment too. look for my post named FC setup (pics) pics are there and it shows what im goin to be using soon. i think these got contaiminated because when i made my own syringes from a dried cap i scraped them out into a palstic cup and covered it. boiled water let it cool then filled syringes right from the pot then sprayed it into the cup and filled up the syringe with the water/spores so im thinkin it got contaminated that way. but i got 10 syringes coming in the mail. so i hope i will do a little better when i inoculate 30 or so jars this time. and with the glove box i didn't use one for these 2 jars and i need to make one but idk what to use to cover my holes where i put my hands in...any ideals? like that rubber stiff u can cut slits in so it keeps it kinda sealed but idk where i can get it?

Its most likely that your syringe got contaminated, or you contaminated your substrate during incolution.
I always recomend a still air box for any of these precedures, inoculation, making lc's spore prints, spore syringes.
Contaminant spores are in the air in the millions. U cant get rid of them. U can only reduce the spore count by being clean.
Remember that spore prints are not sterile, they are best suited to agar. But that does not mean you cant produce a spore print that is clean enough to use.
Open air procedures are very risky anything can easily land on your projects, while some have good success others fail miserably. This was my problem back in the beginning, high contam rate. ever since making a glovebox, my success rate has been 100%.
Generaly when we see green mould we think of trich, but there are lots of different strains of mould, so without a microscope you can only really guess what it is. But thats not a concern for most,

I used that spongy plastic stuff used to pack and ship. This is a picture of my Glove Box. Cost me about 30.00 U.S. to build. It can be made cheaper.

The only reason it looks high tek is because of the Holes. LOL! They are recessed lamp trim rings. You buy them at Home Depot. They cost 6.00 a piece.
