To trip or not to trip

I first tripped on shrooms over the summer. I went off to college and dealt with a lot of anxiety and issues I thought were caused by shrooms. Eventually, I worked through those issues and I feel better than I ever had in my life. My perspective on life has changed and I'm very curious about going into the psychedelic state after having 5 months between my last trip.
My best friend that I tripped with is going to be coming to visit in a few weeks. I have another good friend here that is on the same wavelength about using psychedelics to improve your life. Those guys along with another friend all want to trip. The issue is that I don't want to become unstable and suffer in school, I just can't have that happen. It's difficult to predict the effects of psychedelics, but do you think I will go back to my old ways? My gut feeling is that if I can walk around and stay focused on what's important in life, that I'll be able to get a lot out of shrooms and come out better. What do you guys think?

Your headspace seems a little to apprehensive already to go through with it. Perhaps a light dose would suffice,

my philosophy, and it may not fit for everyone is: if I have to question it, it probably isn't a good idea.
That is, as far as emotionally and physically prepared goes. You'll know when your anchor is being pulled up, your sails set, and your winds are blowing. May the waves be calm, sailor.

I don't think a strong introspective experience is what you're looking for. I may be going against the grain, but shrooms are not for everyone. Be relaxed and confident.I suggest taking a light dose.

I'm looking to trip on mushrooms, an extremely introspective experience for myself. After thinking about it, I know that I'm ready to go back in.
