Top layer of cakes...
    #783153 - 07/29/02 01:36 AM (21 years, 6 months ago)

The top layer of my cakes are a bluish green. It seems more blue, but I really cant tell. I have 3 B+ and they all are the same. Seems to be on the top and thats it. 1 cake has an excuse because I put verm on the top and it blued right away. If it is contams, which Ill probably find out later tonight, should I cut off the top?
All the pins are around the base because I have them layer on some damp verm.

Hang on, don't do anything. It could just be bruising. Is it on every cake you have fruting, if so then leave and see. If you have alot of other cakes fruiting then ditch these, if the pins are big enough you might want to pick them before ditching, I dunno.

Also, what flush are they on?

Don`t throw them away, what a silly thing to say.
Wait man, you`ll see if they`re contaminated
I have a casing that`s blue, gave it time and now it`s fine.

I suppose the cakes would have to be extra sensitive, but would it be possible that the cakes bruise from 'heavy fanning'?

They might bruise from the drying caused by heavy fanning.
