99% straw to 99% poo? Huh?

I'm looking at this poo 101 guide, but I just can't figure out the logic behind his percentage figures. Will someone explain?
cow poo probably needs to be mixed with straw, a great additive to a horse/cow manure mix, to bulk it up & give the substrate more aeration & paths for myc to colonize along. you don“t have to add any straw to the horse poo, but most growers do use a straw: poo mixture, anywhere along the spectrum 99% straw to 99% poo. shirley recommends 90% straw. you can pasteurize the poo together with the straw if you like

lol. It sounds like somebody was really stoned when they wrote that. What they meant is that you can use all straw, or all manure, or any combination in between.
Bagged up composted cow manure from the nursery works great, but needs to be fluffed up with verm, coir, straw, etc., for it to work well. This is because it's so fine, it tends to pack tight. Horse manure on the other hand, works great by itself due to its texture, even if it's not quite as nutritious for fungi as steer manure. The best substrates are a combination of lots of ingredients, providing a more balanced diet. RR

you are right it is the best mix... i honestly think poo itself brings better mushrooms (more flushes and larger)...but poo alone always gave these body high shrooms so i mix straw with it and it always produced good visual shrooms. and no i don't want to debate about it. it just happened that way and i came to the conclusion after experience. honestly dude how the hell do you measure poo or straw? ive done it so many times and i basicly just threw it together and winged it... in my head i remeber like this 1 gallon poo to 2 handfulls chopped straw 3 to four quarts spawn

and another thing sorry for the double post. but tried the whole horse poo thing its great if you have alot of time on ur hands to go find it dry it. set up a place in the back yard for it... but if ur a quick man like me go to lowes get some black cow manure and go out to the straw trailer with a trash bag and just scoop that stuff up. honestly the black cow and straw produced way more than the horse poo with alot less bull

Much appreciated, thank you. So are you saying there really isn't an ideal mixture of straw and shit?

i always used these big gallon glass jars then cooked them in the stove on there side with aluminum foil over the lids with a meat themometer stuckin the middle.(you can put them in a pan)that way i could get the mouisture content right before i cooked. the only down fall is that it takes a while to get it up to 170. but once it does you can basicly turn ur stove off cause it would stay the same temp.you might turn it on every 30 min for like 2 or 3 minutes. till its done.used oven bags but they never seemed to hold enough poo for me(they break if you put too much in them). then just stuck as much straw in a pillow case and filled my pot up with water then stuck a weight on top of pillow case with a themometer in the middle of the weight. a weight with a hole in the middle. straw content just as much as you can comftorably put in the pot. that was always a good mix for me. i know im babbling but im all jacked up on coffee..... after u do it a few time u find different techniques differnt measurments. but i wouldn't concern my with exact measurements cause you can grow with 100% straw or 100% poo. so it will grow regardless. but i do stress putting the straw in there cause it will make the shrooms ten times better... i never had any luck with 100% straw cause it alway seemed to contaminate.anyways good luck and happy shroomin

Or the search engine also.
Maybe someone can also post a tek they have tried and tested...
