my current dilema

I've been off my meds for far too long, and it's really starting to take a serious toll on me...but in order to be able to afford my meds - I have to get back on my state issued insurance plan (which means that I can't have a job)
so I was thinking about moving back into a shelter for a while here, and getting back on food stamps an shit to take care of my needs, and start going back to counseling, and getting put back on the proper medication, and just fucken lying low until I can find a job that has insurance so that I'll be able to both work and get the help I need
the only problem with this though is that I'm on probation right now, and that means that I've got court fees to pay every month / and drug tests that I've got to take / and classes I got to attend (all of which have their own costs involved) and despite the fact that when I move out and I get my deposit back (thereby giving me the money I would need to keep up with these things until March when I *could* (in theory anyway) qualify for an early dismissal due to taking care of everything that I needed, and never having any problems along the way) despite the fact that it could be done - it's not going to because one of the criteria is to maintain a steady job and a place of residency
so I can either go into a shelter and take care of my psychological needs (and go way in debt with my P.O. in the process) or I can get a new job / find a new place to live / and hope that I can get a dismissal on this one before I fucken snap and wind up doing something fucken crazy
cause I swear I'm right about to that point right now

probably more like the state prohibits him from getting a job. they probably think if he is in good enough shape and makes enough money he can afford private insurance for himself.

There's people I used to party with that collected disability checks for being insane. They were quite proud of their insanity certification.

well it seems you are in a bind with the trouble you're in with the courts. it's too bad you screwed up doing something that could not have been dismissed because of your illness. drugs or any other crime like that and they see no reason to excuse it because they think you probably brought it all on yourself in the first place.

trent hit the nail on the head with this one:
Quote:
trent said: they probably think if he is in good enough shape and makes enough money he can afford private insurance for himself.
the only problem is that they use the cut-off point @ $800/month (meaning that if you make more then that - you no longer qualify)
but when you got roughly $300/month worth of medications you're supposed to be taking and at least $400-$500 a month just to keep a roof over your head (which doesn't even take into consideration food, or bus, or phone, or any other possible expenses you might have) then you better either be making some damn good money / you better have insurance through your job / or you better be able to find a way to live off of a part time at minimum wage (which is always a real feat to pull off)
they basically make it to where the only people they help are the people on the streets
