i know this guy that spends about 3/4 the year in the forest hunting and fishing. the only time he goes into town is for supplies and beer. he literally lives off of a deer meat. the way he describes hunting is more then inspiring. i hope i can reach a point in my life to where i can just camp, hunt, and be alone with out being unhappy.

Sounds a lot like me, I'm getting lonely though, that used to never happen but it's starting to become troublesome.. Might join the military for four years just for the hell of it, I really don't have much else to do at this point.

Right on!

The closest I get is during the University semester... government in Australia pays students ~$230 a week for studying.

I organise my week so I only have to attend classes 3 - 4 days, then the other 3 - 4 days I go essentially "live" in Lamington National Park. Only costs me $15 in camping permits, go buy $30 worth of food and chill out.

It's depressing having to go back to the city every single week, but it beats staying in there 24/7.

welder by trade, now that's a hot gig...I'm decent at brazing, great with the MIG, and solid with a TIG, foot pedal is KEY. :welder:

whats even cooler is this guys backyard. his second love next to camping/ hunting is chopping wood, don't ask. anyway, his entire back yard is walled off with an 8 foot wall of perfectly chopped wood. there is, of course, a wooden fence behind it, but still. he also has a pretty decent garden of some great looking veggies. i never told him but i looked up to him a lot. he found a perfect way to live life with out being bothered by people.

yea,i still love it for the most part. Been doing a lot of  piece work on the side lately, always something new. The pedal was never hard for me, it was always filler control. I can put that pedal in any position, left or right foot, but my filler hand sucks if I'm in any real compromising positions, it limits my work to an extent, but whatever.

I can't believe we have that smiley.

what's with all the hate for NYC? NYC is a city filled with lots of crap, but it's also filled with energy and life and variety and awesome food and venues and museums and galleries and i mean the list is endless. there's plenty to love about NY.

I personally go to school for photography and assist my brother in law At the Coach (bag's) headquarters on photo shoots.i just realized today that if i worked one week every month for a year, i'd make 52 thousand dollars a year. I'd still have to deduct taxes from that? but dude. that's just working ONE week a month! I can't WAIT to get out of college!

Hahah, that's absolute balls.

Postal service is seriously where it's at... $27.50 an hour, 15% penalty on top of that and you sit around for half the day watching TV.

Any overtime or weekend work, double time + $20 meal allowance.

Public holidays triple time and a half, I was getting ~$100/hr for bludging around new years.
