I'm pregnant!

I had to share it with my fellow shroomerites. Me and my fiance are extremely excited. It will be his first and my third. I figured I'd get all my child bearing done before the big 30.
I'm still very early and I don't even feel like I'm pregnant, but I'm sure the pregnancy symptoms will hit soon and hard.
The hardest thing for me right now is getting off the vicodins. I've decreased my daily intake dramatically. I read up on hydrocodone and pregnancy online and found that though it's recommended that I not take them, doctors do prescribe it to pregnant women as long as it's taken moderately and not throughout the whole pregnancy.
I'm trying very hard not to take them at all, but then I get withdrawals and according to some doctors, withdrawals can cause miscarriages.
So I'm taking less and less, hopefully by the end of this month or sometime next month, I will be free of hydrocodone.
I've quit everything else successfully.

I had an epidural with my second child. It was so bad, it only worked on the left side of my body and the right side felt the pain x3. I think I'm going to do this without the epidural this time.
Thanks guys.

It was semi-planned. I just stopped taking birth control because we decided that we wanted to have one more child. Then as soon as I stopped, it happened.
I'd like to have a boy, since I have two girls, but I'm okay with another girl. He doesn't care either way.
Water birth? Too bloody for me, I can't imagine sitting in a tub full of amniotic fluid and blood. I think I'll stick to a bed birth. My first daughter was born normally, in a bed, and I had NO MEDICINE. I can handle childbirth.

thats because she never took her bathing suit off
aw well i guess that would be weird to see the water turn red like that but, thats prob because its not a common thing thats done.
the video i seen the lady was in a full size pool, so position would be alot different maybe be easier i dunno

I was really excited when I first posted this, then I read the news about Dreamer. That was very upsetting. I loved that guy. So mature for his age, I mean...it seems like he was years older then he actually was. He was posting on these boards at age 15(I think). Sorry, I'm totally just rambling, but it's crazy that he won't be around here anymore. I can't imagine the Shroomery without him.
He will be missed.

I think the water birth thing is much more for the child then it is for the woman giving birth. Supposedly it's much more gentle.. going from a warm fluid-filled womb you've been in for nine months into a warm saline water.. a smooth transition. As opposed to the normal method of going from a warm fluid-filled womb, into a 20+ degree drop of temperature, cold air and bright lights (usually), is a shock when being born. Not to mention in the water birth method, the babies come out sometimes swimming, they are usually allowed to continue breathing through the umbilical cord for a few minutes until it stops functioning to allow an easier transition as well, instead of just snipping it off as soon as they come out which forces them to take short sharp breaths into the lungs, which could be the reason most people breath improperly.. we've been doing it since we were born. Birth is usually much more tragic then death, for the person undergoing it anyway. But I've heard it's easier on the woman too, since the warm water loosens certain muscles.. At any rate it's a personal choice.
And congrats!

I would do a lot of my own research rather than taking a doctor at his word (Especially if the doctor's word is what you'd prefer to hear.)
