Learn to cook mushrooms properly!!!!! Those look slimy and mushy and groooooss.
you dont have to talk shit, youve probably never tried eating them that way and its probably pretty good.
Yes, i have. They are slimy, limp, mushy and wet. I'm not talking shit, just making observations. NOTE - I explained how to cook them better, i'm not just trying to bring him down, i'm trying to suggest a better way to enjoy them. I worked as a sous chef for a while, and i'm picky, so sorry if it came off the wrong way.

You might be able to find Panaeolus subbalteatus there during warmer weather, but you likely won't find any active mushrooms there now.

actualy the cloud cover are the reasons the lows are as warm as they are. that does look like decent grounds for hunting Pan. subbalteatus, though if you find them, it won't likely be in any decent numbers. if you can find some place where stable wastes are dumped, hay stacks which have been left in the weather over the year or expansive lawns such as parks, golf courses, housing developments [of which we have plenty], etc you will likely have better luck. on the other hand, the scenery in the hills is certainly nicer. good luck
for those others of you who might not be familiar with this area, it is extremely dry most of the year.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Wow a fellow modesto hunter. Nice pics. we hit a cow like that out on Claribel a few years back... it was allllll kinds of bad. It kinda popped. Pretty much nill when it comes to actives- but so many non-actives/edibles in the area and serve some pretty nice viewing. Those agaricus are so very abundant here. Not to hard to clone into your backyard either.
I know what lake those pics are of, and those cows are all over that place. Some of the cows walk right up to the lake and drink.
