Is there anything better than itunes? I think it the best of the worst. Is there a music player that exists that I don't know about? Please don't say winamp. I hate winamp. Its like the Windows Media Player on steroids.

why do people talk shit about winamp? it's the best one out there..
and definitely the most customizable to suit your interests/needs/preferences..
they pretty much invented application skinning and the visualization studio (avs)..

what's wrong with this?
Memory hog, CPU hog, early versions (for Win 9x) left problematic .vxd drivers after uninstalling, modern versions aren't prone to that because they are more un-uninstallable, random errors, random crashes (specially when installing drivers, if you can), poor customer support...
The most important drawback is the performance. I don't really understand how can it be so slow and use so many resources. Machines with Panda automatically lose all responsiveness they could have. Where I work we used Panda in Windows 2000 testing machines and found disk performance of a Dell 2 GHz Xeon with a SCSI disk on pair with a generic Pentium III 500 with IDE disk, not to mention the undesired swapping, potentially slowing other applications. The Pentium III outperformed the Xeon in rsync tasks by a factor of 6, turning a completely I/O-bound task into a CPU-bound one.
It was also fun that in the rsync tasks it detected 68000/Dragonball asm code as a virus.

Panda will also spam the hell out of your email. I don't know how they got my email address since I never used their product but I dislike them for that alone.
