Short little video clip of a funny moment from the debate the other night...Funny stuff..(notice Romney's priceless facial expression and listen for Guiliani's little chuckle in background).

To think a guy literally from a "triple wide" trailer, espousing presidential ideals.....that has a chance....who says its only for the rich?

If America already doesn't have a stereotypical image in the world of being full of rednecks... just wait till you hear the BBC use the phrase
"President Huckabee"
in a sentance.

Every single person running is beatable, but I think Barack is the *least* beatable person on either side.
I like Hillary, and I think she would be a fine president. But I am scared to death of her winning the nomination. I really hope Obama wins New Hampshire and S. Carolina on the way to Super Tuesday, and I think thats looking more and more likely.
Hillary is disliked by probably 50% of the voters in this country, and viciously and unreasonably hated by 30%. I am in no way confident that she could beat a strong Republican candidate, even were one to emerge from someplace.
But that Republican field is a fucking cesspool. Every single one of those moronic bible-thumpers and 9/11'ers is weak. None of them can build a consensus behind them. Every one of them has some core part of the party opposed to them. Your "coalition" candidate, Mr. Thompson, has the energy and drive for the presidency of a garden snail. Rudy is hated by the Jesus-Freaks for his multiple marriages, but they love Huckabee for his intelligent design "God-Loves-You" backwoods pulpit bullshit. And then you have the neo-cons and racists loving Rudy for making NYC a big fat target and then leaping into the spotlight of the burning buildings, as well as rattling his saber at every ally and enemy of the United States. And Mitt Romney is pretty much the the Republican version of what they say John Kerry was. That guy is a Massachusets slime-ball who would announce his unequivocal support for the mandatory castration of left-handed people if he thought it would get him elected to public office.
Its no secret that I have thought Barack was the best candidate for the Presidency for a long time, but I think its also true that he is the strongest.

I thought you were supposed to choose a president based on how well they can be an executive governor of the country? and because that's the case, obama and hillary are the LEAST qualified, given their basically non-existent past experience (when compared to the republican candidates).

The Presidency of the United States is as different from being Governor of Arkansas as posting here is from the editorial page of the New York Times.
The two are not comparable. Nothing is going to prepare someone for the Presidency. It is a complex and difficult job that has turned the hair gray on several men who were full of youthful vitality when they took the position. As I think that this is true, I would rather have someone in office who is intelligent and able to adapt to their job, and learn how to do it well than a person who is set on holding prayer dinners and running the country like their own Appalachian Hick-Dom transplated in Washington.

How do you know that Obama can adapt, when there is no history of him doing so in any situation? Is it just your gut feeling?

He is a highly educated man (Harvard Law?), from a diverse background (Africa? The slums of chicago? Washington?), who is young enough to realize that he doesn't know everything and who has is not heavily weighted down with religious-based preconceptions of the way the world is.
There is no record of Obama adapting *to the presidency*, but that is true for every candidate. But I don't see how you can say he is not proven to be an adaptable person.

"Obama was born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Barack Obama, Sr. (born in Nyanza Province, Kenya, of Luo ethnicity) and Ann Dunham (born in Wichita, Kansas).[9] His parents met while both were attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where his father was enrolled as a foreign student.[10] Obama's parents separated when he was two years old and later divorced.[11] His father went to Harvard University to pursue Ph.D. studies"
not the best source, but it's wikipedia.
hardly a slum-oriented childhood
Look, I am not saying Obama isn't an intelligent guy, but he just hasn't been tested at all. He has been in the senate, what, 2 years? Give me a break.

but Hussein said his father was an African “goat herder.”????
IN his speech announcing his candidacy, he insisted that though he hadn’t “spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington” it didn’t matter, since the only thing one needs to know about Washington is that “the ways of Washington must change.”
YOU can question the war our country is currently engaged in....
but questioning Obama’s qualifications for the highest office in the land, not to mention the most powerful position in the world is OFF LIMITS!!!!!
