Goddamn. All over again the same result. A total breakthrough from which I turned and ran in fear. Quite literally. All of myself left me as liquid and poured all over me, I could feel it everywhere, see myelf running out over everything. And despite my last conscious thoughts pre-inhalation ("close your eyes, everything is fine, relax") found myself running back and forth through my apartment just waiting for it to end running from I don't even know what. Ha. How foolish. Whatever though. A little DMT smoked to me is no waste, I will learn from this experience.

OLF-You ever try meditation? I'm wandering if you spent 20-30 minutes of meditation prior to, if it might keep you calm enough to venture further. I haven't had the honor to travel with DMT yet, but I plan on meditating into an almost trance-like state before I make my first run. It has helped me on massive shroom trips at calming myself down.

I don't fear ego loss...I just live with a lot of fear in general, and I'm dealing with that every day, every moment, every trip. My first instinct was to get defensive to your post but then I realized that there's no point in that because fear is definitely what held me back from penetrating deep into the heart of what could have been a beautiful experience. But it wasn't fear of ego loss. I look forward to that - it was this vague notion of "something going wrong."

I've thought about this a lot recently and I can tell you that after what I Just experienced, I will not be doing DMT again without spending 20 minutes clearing my mind with breathing exercises. I think I rushed this, and tried to squeeze it in in a tmeframe when I knew I would be home alone.

When you DMT you will know it all too well. It descends on you, but from within. It's as if something inside you is unlocked, escapes you, and then rains down all over you.

I had a similar experience... I didn't run away but I was trying to ground myself throughout the experience...
It was my second time doing it.. After a beautiful first attempt I felt the need to do more but rushed myself into it. I spent the first 2 minutes with a disgusting feeling of fear in the pit of my stomach and the top of my head was on fire (ego death time) but as I hung on madly to reality I started to question why.. eventually I managed to let go and be at peace with it, but it was too late.. I had already stopped accelerating and was beginning the descent
I haven't done it since.. I still have a hit left from that experience about 3 months ago. I'm still processing and applying what I learned from my previous experiences.. Next time, its going to be a bigger dose and I'm going to be like a drop of water in a deep ravine
The first time I did it, I meditated for about 30 minutes prior to doing it.. I didn't even open my eyes, I just lifted the pipe to my mouth and sank infinitely into my meditation.. I hit a place so deep I've never been there before or since..

sorry, I misinterpreted what you said. I would reccomend putting your mind at complete ease before the trip, know that nothing can really go wrong and that if you let the drug run its complete course, you will be rewarded greatly. Just get a calm and accepting vibe going before you take some huge dmitri rips next time.
peace

If hes anything like me.. you can go into the trip calm as a rock, but as soon as your heart starts speeding up, you start thinking 'ohhhh noesss'.. what have I done?
By time I get over that initial fear brought on by the complete realness of the initial experience its too late to salvage that voyage. The onset and intensity of the onset can be startling at times

This is why a good amount should always be kept around. I think it's good to do a small dose, then re-dose after your interest is piqued.
This can help eliminate some of the come-up anxiety that sends so many good trips askew. After you do a small dose and talk about it with your friends, you're likely to want to take a larger one to see what it's all about.
This way it's like you actually want to get there, you don't just feel obliged by your possession of this amazing stuff to try.
Good luck, it's a tricky thing to master.
