they help you get a job anywhere. not just in a factory. they have employers in just about every industry depending on what you want to do.

...and you can only work for them for a pre-determined amount of time. A few months, usually. It's so they don't have to give you benefits. Also, they will take a small percentage of your paycheck on top of your regular taxes.
So if you need some money on a temporary basis, it's easy cash in your back account. If you're actually looking for a job to support yourself you would be better off finding yourself something more permanent.

Some can be very good to work for, there are Temp-Agencies that only/mostly offer jobs that may not last but a couple weeks to months etc. Some also can offer temp to hire were depending on how well you do you can get hired on directly for the company were then you would get more money and most likely better benefits. I worked for one and i am now a full time associate it worked nice for me.

I found the same to be true. I took an office job back in 97 with a temp agency when I really couldnt find work anywhere and was getting desperate. 4 months later the employer I was working with extended a full-time position to me. I continued to work for them for the next 5 years through the end of 2002.

alot of companies only bring people in through temp agencies.honestly i think its because the actual factory or whatever doesn't have to hire you the temp agency does.therefore if the factory etc.. doesn't need you anymore they can just let ya go and there not actually firing you. if you go into a temp agency and know where you want to work like a high paying factory job it is alot easier. but if you don't know where you want to work it can be more difficult and you may get a shitty job.
