Okay, i found some liberty cap looking mushrooms in my area, and i havent been able to identify them properly. I was wondering if someone could identify them for me. the camera quality isnt very good, so it might be hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
They were found near or on rotten logs and/or in mulched wood.
When they were fresh they were a light brown.
The gills were Cinnamon brown.
And the stem was hollow and a very light brown.
They also grow in clusters.
If it helps any... one day i was being stupid and i ate 3 of them without identification. Nothing happened.

NEVER eat unidentified mushrooms!!!!!
I don't know what they are, the photos are way too blurry. Maybe some Mycena or Marasmius. They are definitely not psychoactive, and look very little like "Liberty Caps", Psilocybe semilanceata.
Welcome to the forums. Mushroom hunting is fucking awesome, but please be safe.

Thank you. One more question... if i do find magic mushrooms, is it okay to eat them if they have maggots or any type of bugs in them. Or are there ways to clean them successfully?

It really depends. Small bugs are usually okay, but if they have totally rotted the mushroom while eating away at it, i would not eat it.
I strongly advise you post photos of any mushroom you find before eating them!! There are deadly poisonous "look-a-likes"! We'll help you out best we can, but don't try and rely on your own judgement at this point. There is a lot to learn.

The miwoks never ate magic mushrooms
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
