This is my first trip report submitted, so I hope you all enjoy~~ Prior experiences are a couple relatively weak experiences with acid, and I sometimes smoke weed. For this trip I bought 1.5 hits at a rave 3 weeks ago and waited for the right moment, which happened to be new year's eve where me and 3 sober friends went downtown Chicago for one of the best days ever...

1:00pm Took it while driving, my friend handed me the hits just before I hit Lake Shore Drive  unknown to his sober ass, he absorbed some through his fingers which I disclosed to him hours later
Arrived at Museum of Science/Industry at 2:30 I felt a slight sense of wonder.. or something. It was more crowded than usual, due to NY's, but as long as there were no guards I didn't seem to care. My first visuals were off of a giant colorful world map, though I traversed several "sections" ranging from human body, to aircraft, to machines and oldies:

4:00 This is when I started peaking. I started to let go of my sober friends; I found a bench in the high-tech area right outside this Whisper Room:http://www.msichicago.org/exhibit/whispering/index.html
...and I sat for a while, and saw spikes coming out of the ground in the corner which I was delighted to see  I was intrigued by the shadows until some people sat across the hall from me. I wanted to get up... but then I realized I WAS FROZEN. I was stuck to the bench, my legs could not move and I was paralyzed. I muse have looked depressed to people across from me, just sitting there alone. It was kind of like when you wake up in a paralized state (paranormal, only happened to me a couple times) After much willpower I struggled up after my friends down the hall:

It was actually relatively empty. Until I approached this giant dome:

I sat there with ~40 other people, kids climbing around, listening to the narration.. for a moment I thought it was God speaking, and everyone was finally getting around to listening to him.. it had a real tribal feel or some shit. I was really happy especially when I saw the kids climbing around for some reason .At this point I was full of wonder/confusion and later met up with my friends upstairs. I got a Hawaiian Punch out of a vending machine, but could only drink 1/4 of it because I started tasting puke in my throat and it tasted really artificial so I gave it to my friend.

5:00 This is where it got incredible. I let my friends go through this historic part about WW2 and models:

While I sat in a gallery full of photos, mostly consisting of the New Orleans catastrophe. I sat on a bench and tripped HARD on these pictures, (which I didn't realize were photos for like 5 mins) I had never seen anything like this. The pictures would melt in all different directions, tentacles would slowly writhe their way out towards me, a giant truck sloooooowwly started being overturned, being helped by the tree branches and scraps in the background. All the visuals came with ease. I sat there for 20 minutes, as I watched a desert start flowing like a river of sand, I must have looked a bit awkward and I recognized that. I even came up with the excuse that I had a friend who lived in New Orleans  My friends called me so I tried going in their direction but ended up here in this submarine section:

This place was really cool cause it was huge/open (but you had to pay $$ to go inside the submarine) and then I heard my friends call from the catwalk above... At this point (6:00) my friends wanted to start leaving (I could have stayed all day), so we checked out this last outer-space exhibit and made random jokes and I still could not stop laughing; many times I just laughed for no reason. We sat in a cafe pondering what to do for about 30 mins and decided to hit up Navy Pier for a bite to eat (I didn't drive, of course) I acted retarded as hell but generally they took it well, they didn't shun me or nothing, though they weren't curious either, these people have never even smoked weed and barely drink, so yes, Shroomery, I had some major balls to do this eh? One of the guys said it didn't look like a big deal though

6:30 Watched fireworks! They showed at 7 & 12 (Navy Pier), we went out into this huge crowd of all these parent/kids/shit and watched fireworks which was incredible; NOT because of the acid, but because of all the fog in the air (it was so foggy that day you could only see 1/2 of the skyscrapers) so the light from the fireworks bounced off the fog, illuminating the entire sky

7:40 We bought tickets for I Am Legend IMAX. I heard someone on the shroomery say it was intense, so I thought I'd go for it. Thankfully we got out of the crowds and into the giant theater, now the best part about the movie was the COMMERCIAL slide; you know the part before even the previews start? It was just a slideshow of Coke, ads, whatnot, but the great thing about it for me was, it was ANIMATED for me. At first I thought it was supposed to be like that, with words being animated (like a Powerpoint) but just to make sure.... I ask my friend next to me. He says "No dude they're all still images" I couldn't believe my eyes. Phrases bubbling and shifting but I thought they did it for effect! As for the movie itself, it wasn't anything special but the scene with the Dog dying really got to me.

11:00 I dropped my guys off at their own cribs because I had my own party to go to. I drive in the icy snow with the brakes barely working to a party at my friends' ~~ a little note here ~~ this friend could not come downtown to trip but I sold him 1/2 a hit so he could candyflip that night to celebrate, and during the course of my day at the museum he'd hit me up to check on how I'm doing, which was nice to have a connection w/ someone else who was actually trippin'. It helped cuz it didn't make me feel so alone, at least there was SOMEone else out there who was also trippin' :mushroom2: Once I got to his crib, I got to rest easy since other people were on drugs too so I felt at-home.

11:00 One of the guys there had sickass glowsticks and gave me a few lightshows, hell I must have seen like an hour of just pure lightshow while listening to The Field. Although I wasn't rollin (other people were) I was really absorbed in the lights, and I thought it was just incredible how someone could pull off these moves. In fact everyone ditched the countdown we just raved through midnight drinking champaign - I thought it would help me come down, and maybe it did, but I was still trippin well into 2am offa this guys rug. This was easily the best acid trip ever and I recommend museums to anyone on this site.

Ok I just realized how misleading the title is, so I guess I'll add some pics of our own since I just got them, except it's not letting me attach them, does anyone know how to put them in posts?
