aparently not as good as asian species..

Nice photos, I wish I was there!!!
I especially like the one with you reflection in the water.

Lemme give you some tips on your photos. We have the same camera.

Your scene shots are spectacular, but the mushrooms are all fuzzy.

http://www.digitalreview.ca/cams/pics/Sony_DSCW30back.jpg

the dial in the upper right hand corner should be set to the green camera icon, as seen in the photo.

below it, make sure the macro (flower symbol) setting is on.

To take photos, you must hold down the button half way, you will see the image on the screen try and focus, and then it will beep twice when it thinks it hase focused properly, if so, then without releasing the button press the button down all the way and release quickly. If the shot did not come into focus the first time, try releasing the button after it beeps twice, and refocusing until it looks clear.
Tips for focusing are moving the camera in and out, or trying different angles, and using something (your hand) to change the background of your focal point so that it focuses on the subject.

What you do NOT want to do, is simply press down the button completely, and then release quickly. The camera was not designed to work like old cameras.

hola, looks like a nice trip.
That river looks very nice. I'm surprised it's so clear. Is it totally spring fed?
Great vegetation. That sounds like a unique habitat for that far south (hidalgo). And, those mushrooms do have a lot in common with the plethora of fungus I found in Hawaii. What is the annual rainfall like in areas near the coast, say up to 100 km inland?

you mean la media luna spring river , yes the area is a total desert ,but the spring bring life to the area , the water are blue in fact i have never seem so much crystaline water as all the rivers, springs , manantial, lagoon , damp over here, the constand rain in the many sierras bring lot of water to the deser valley of rio verde i guess the name is self explinatory, but as this this state of san luis potosi , la sirra gorda de queretaro , tamaulipas are full of rivers of water from color that range to blue, turqueise, green, esmerald, cristaline , traslucid, white, shit is dificult to find a comom river here all have a glow an brig aura .
the water of this spring in a bit warn not to much but enouf many acuatic plant are endemic here also some fish , are unique. in rainy season copes and cubes grow near.
is amazing how all this sierra capture all the rain of the gulf coast ,so the humid air hit here and rain fell , almost all year, in fact rainy seasom is beggining there when i left where 2 days non stops rain , i almost got there for the subb and copes a few more day and iwill be a dung lover again. the cold north is what fed this places in the more warn and humid part the north easth part and below 600 metter of altitude are where the rain get as much as 2000mm a year that is where i find all the mayoroty of mushrooms this time a true tropical enviromente here are 3 level of tropical jungle lowere , middle and high jungle, all are unique and interbredd with each others and with other vegetation in highert part as the mesofitic forest where the more neoarticflora exist, oaks pines, liquidambar, populus, ptseudotsuga, alnus, arbutus, etc, in lower and dry part with desert areas and shrubs and more dry lands. so this give you a pletora of more than 14 types of vegetation , for me is orgiastic all this undestand flora, is like a climax , is total sex for mi mind , i was having fun undestanding jalisco , now i get this , well is big ,
rainy seasom is beggining there it have like diferent peak the seasom there for area below 800 mettes are 3 peak the rainy seasom from may to october sometimes november if huracan come from the atlantic, then a rest of a month and the cold front beging to bring rain all front cold bring rain here and sometime snow in higher part more of 2800-3100 meters. so this give you january and febrary for few mushrooms that appear as dung lover and wood lover not active of course well maybe some gym. then a rest and in end of april -may few rains and finally at the end of may all is flow .
in higher area is a mark station in some places and a more long in other the sierra have crazy microclimate,
the sierra run in a north-south position , this act as a condenser and trapp all the rain given the effect is call shadow so the other side the south wester side is the most dry and the north easth and east side the more humid and fullof vegetation . .
the near coast is the port of tampico tamahualipas , and over there are other secret as reserva de la biosfera del cielo but that another story.

all my best i will post more i promise

the trick to get the butterfly , is to go real early in the morning , since they heat their body with the sun ,are more, slow to reaction a that time, but you still have to approach with caution i try many times but i got some of then , others are too shy to share, and bird i need a better camera with a telecopic zoom
glad you like it , i realy enjoy it. i can not put all my pictures but i have a real good time there, learn a lot,

all my best ...

That little yellow mushroom is probably Bolbitius rather than Conocybe, but I can't say for sure.

Wow, beautiful butterflies!!!  They let you get really close!

Oooo, that little stemmed polypore with the hair is fucking crazy!!  Woah!
