Taking a print with tin foil.. Sterility question... [pics]
    #7833203 - 01/04/08 07:24 PM (17 years, 16 days ago)

I have another thread on here with big B+ fruits that grew on their 2nd flushes so I decided to take some prints on tin foil. This was around 10 hours ago and they already dropped ALOT of spores onto the tinfoil which is inside a small wooden box right now and I'm thinking it's dark enough:

They're so dark, it almost looks like shadow under the caps! Anyway, my question is, after removing the caps from tinfoil, how do I preserve these prints? Would just folding the tinfoil over it and keeping them in a cool, dry place until I'm ready to make a syringe good enough a technique? I want to minimize contam risk, obviously.

Thanks in advance!

id leave them in your glovebox or whatever your taking the print in for a few days after you remove the cap from the foil. the reason for this is to let the print dry out and thus helping prevent contams. the last thing you want to do is fold up a wet print.

but yea as long as you wiped down the foil with alcohol and let it dry before laying the cap on it and keeping it somewhere draft free while it drops its spores. just folding the foil over the print is fine.
