NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WAVE) -- Police investigating a burglary report ended up busting a huge marijuana growing operation in southern Indiana.
Floyd County Sheriffs deputies were called to a home in the 200 block of Kaufer Avenue after neighbors reported a break-in.
Officers responded to the call observed marijuana inside, so they got a warrant and returned to search the home. That's when they found more than 500 plants inside.
Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson was glad officers kept the pot off the streets. "Speaking for the Sheriff as well as myself, it gives us extra satisfaction knowing that we destroyed that after the effort they put into it."
Police say the plants had a street value of around $400,000. The homeowner is still on the loose, and faces multiple drug charges.

Yea, Police ocifers have been doin that for a long time. There was no break in at all.the police stage that break in so they can get a search warrant. You think if someone broke in they would leave all those plants? When police have a hint but cant get proof thats what they'll do.Sneaky little fuckers.

It is they, the sacred mushrooms, that speak in a way I can understand. I ask them and they answer me. That's why you can't call the police for anything... You have to get a gun and protect your self and find the people responsible. Police are never there to help you. Their job is to arrest you and help prosecute you.

Security system that survey's the entire premises would definitely help your defense. Maybe help get the warrant thrown out.

they also lend to scrutiiny and help cops get a warrant, if they can tell you've got high security....
but having hidden cameras will help fight any violation if you catch it
