i posted this awhile ago... oh well, does anyone know their favorite art to look at while tripping? i like the comic art of frank miller, i'm sure a lot of people are going to say salvador dali. i don't know, a lot of art hits me, but not all of it looks like something i'd understand better on psychedelics, of course, it's been awhile since i tripped, too much shit on my mind... ehhhhh, fuck life. it bites sometimes....
it this the right forum to post this on?

the best art to witness when tripping is that art which best adapts to the set of events as they are.
if it developes the trip into a blossom of its own mystery and tone, then at that moment it works, but then suddenly, it'll be off, haha

The best art while tripping is nature in it's purest form.
Also Larry Carlson has some pretty wicked shit.

Some of my favorite artists are Maura Holden http://mauraholdenartworks.com/
Robert Venosa http://www.venosa.com/
Olga Spiegel http://www.olgaspiegel.com/
Phillip Rubinov-Jacobson http://www.rubinovs-lightning.com
The list can go on and on but those are some great artists to get into while high because they are all inspired by entheogens. Check em out.

Fillmore posters and this art video (which I still haven't found) made specifically for people tripping.
They are fucking incredible. The only thing that is better is probably nature. And I've had a blacklight poster burned into the soft skin of my brain, etching it's way like little lines in it. It was incredible.

see, the colors there really blow away a lot of other art, not my favorite, but still, something not widely seen in art. they should do a lot more shit like that. i like a lot of art i see like that, and in comics and animated shows, you see a lot more psychedelic 'type' art in there, but not many people do detailed famous paintings, i really like that other guy, i forget, the one below maurla, was her name? does he do pencil work?
i guess, i like the diversity an artist can do, not just the same style, but it's dimensions and creativeness, i was looking at this shit last night, forgot who it was, pencil and ink i think, just some drawings of things people saw on a trip through some nature preserve, some of the nicest shit.
That site artcyclopedia has a lot of art, but mostly pre-1950's, shit in museums. I don't understand the art scene, i like a lot of comic art like I said, some of that old famous shit, and a lot of animation, like cowboy bebop, that has some bad scenes done for animation. It'd be straight if everone who did animation of graphic art like in books and comics or whatever also did paintings or whatever, i don't know........
anyone? peace

I second that. I'm slightly tripping and went through each and every picture in his gallery. Each picture was truly a mind blowing experience in itself.

M.C. Escher was unbelievable in his ability to previsualize and render geometry in his art. I remember seeing this really cool piece of art titled "Tribute to MC Escher" and getting pissed off because the artist created the image via computer. Escher would have drawn it by hand.

from that orangecounty fine art site I liked this one best ( http://www.orangecountyfineart.com/hessam.htm )
http://www.orangecountyfineart.com/hessam_closer_hearts.htm
because it most closely resembles how I see in incomplete fragments though when I stop, the scenery catches up and becomes much more detailed, and occasionally layered up like kush and like alex grey.

Goya, Delacroix, Velazquez, Rembrandt and dramatic depictions of religious scenes, such as those of Caravaggio and Bernini have all been very impacting. Really I could write a book about how deep all these artist take there works, its amazing.

Also H. R. Giger, but that can be rough when tripping, unless you take it right, its actually not so bad.
