these first three pics are from one of my monos

these last three pics are from my second monotub

no signs of any pins yet. i put them both into fruiting conditions on the 28th of december. i have misted them a couple of times with a pump up sprayer and i have a fan oscillating in the room. the temps are anywhere from 64-69 throughout the day. lighting is 12/12 with two 4 foot 6500k flourest bulbs. its colonized rye (ms redboy) spawned to poo and cased with 50/50+. i dont want these things to contaminate, i put alot of work into these. any ideas to get these things to start pinning???

It took my cakes over 20 days to pin!! I did a few things wrong though.... 1. I birthed the cakes the second I thought they were completely colonized. (patience....) 2. I used a small fish tank bubbler for a fairly large size FC (I used a 20gal rubbermaid type container). I don't think this was providing enough humidity. When nothing happened for 18 days or so....I finally took the advice of some folks and put a layer of wet perlite in the bottom of the FC.....I got pins three days later. 3. Initially, I was providing FAE only 1 time per day. Again, following the advice of others, I increased this to 3 or 4 times per day. 4. Finally, The first two weeks I left the light on 24 hrs / day. It seems everyone else has used a 12 light/12 dark cycle. I don't know if this had any effect on the delayed pinning, but....
Follow instructions to the letter and have patience, good things come to those who wait!!
Good luck!

I responded too quickly....thought you were asking about pins on cakes....not that I know much of anything, but if others can avoid the mistakes I made.....

so i think im starting to see knots in my monos. so according to hyphae's pinning tek i should stop misting at this point until i have fruit bodies? then i can start misting again right?
i know its a mono and im not supposed to mess with it but the casing looked a little dry a couple times so i misted it and gave it a good fanning afterwards.
i think the fan running im my room is drying the casing out sometimes.
its not directly blowing on the mono's but oscilating on low in the room.
could i get away with not using the fan?
thanks guys

Looking good.....
Just be patient, they won't quit on you now. Keep giving them some love and they will return it.
Peace,

i checked on this again today and it looks like the casing layer is statring to dry out again.
should i spray this thing down? even if im starting to get little knots starting?
would it be safe to mist these things all the way through since they seem to be drying out so quick?
