pressure cooking plastic?

i have some dirty plastic tubing (all i know is its clear brewing tubing) and some plastic fermentation valves, also a rubber stopper but im 99% sure thats ok to pc
anyone know if this stuff will melt?

It shouldn't. I've PC'd one-time use syringes to make new spore syringes and it's been no problem. I'd just wrap them lightly in aluminum foil to keep water from dripping on them. I assume your point is just to steam sterilize them?

yes, i thought about just boiling them but i wanna make sure i get everything killed, hence im shooting for 15 psi in the pressure cooker
the syringes from venders seem to be a stronger plastic than the stuff i have shown
so im still a little worried, i think ill throw the valves inside a few jars, but the hose will have to just lay on the bottom i guess

It all depends on the type of plastic...
Polypropylene is what you're looking for, most products of which will stand up to PCing.

I'd cut a few inches of the tube and test it, making sure if it does melt your PC will not be trashed.

Use heavy duty aluminum foil they should be alright...fit them in a jar with water though or something
