In countries where the population isn't as diverse, there is more social cohesion. But the diversity and freedom of speech with cause a marked difference. A perfect storm of reclusive behavior.

A racist as well. No surprise there.

I looked at all the prison stocks, and it looks like CoreCivic (NTSE: CXW) and Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE: PLTR) are poised to make big gains.
But when you think about it, the prison of the future will be the Metaverse. Spotify, Facebook, Tick Tock and YouTube are serving as it's predecessors.
So with the metaverse still 10 years away, I think what this wave of racism will really drive is Spotify, which seems greatly undervalued atm.

I changed my mind about PLTR, because the prison companies of the future are going to be virtual reality. The prison companies currently moving up are SPOT and MTCH, both of which I am heavily invested in. I also plan to invest in TSN and CXW, but to a lesser extent.

Picked up a handful of Jan $40 calls on SHOP today. Thing has been beaten to hell and looks like it's starting to come out of a base. With the holiday shop season upon is, it seems like a decent time to get involved both on a technical and macro basis.
Those SGML shares I had put to me a couple weeks ago are up over 20%. Tempted to start selling calls against it, but being a bit more patient to see if we can move to the top of the range first. Will look to sell some Dec $40 calls over $1 a piece (currently around $0.50).

Go all in and get an entire Enbridge share. They're only $55.55 and pay a healthy dividend.
Finally a good day on the markets. Maybe a little bit of a santa clause rally coming our way? People want to feel good rolling into the holidays with their bellies still filled with turkey.

A very broad based move yesterday to push all beaten down sectors higher, even into the close. The main reason is almost assuredly the Fed indicating that although inflation is not yet under control, they can "maybe" let their foot off the gas a bit and we can expect smaller rate hikes into the end of the year. The Fed's rate hike campaign has really been (as it typically always is) the driving factor for risk behavior. If they're easing up a bit, money will begin to flow back into risk assets, and that's what we saw yesterday. As I said several weeks ago when I believed it was time to start edging back into exposure, yesterday was the confirmation of that speculation. It doesn't mean we're going straight back to all time highs, and it doesn't mean you should leverage yourself to the max. But for my money, targeting about 50% of your max exposure here is probably the way to go.

Agreed and I surely didn't take it as such. But who couldn't use a little financial Novocain to feel better just before cruising into Christmas. We must all consume after all and if we are all paranoid to do so that can't possibly help those struggling mega corps.

Does anyone under PDT possibly want to team up on screening and trade ideas for intraday shorting easy-to-borrow low float or manipulated patterns like walk ups or possibly finding unwinds in progress that work? Seems like these days if it's liquid at all it's HTB with the pedestrian brokers that will have me and if it's not liquid it's really really not liquid. Due to intraday options I have experience messing around in illiquid environments but I'm really sick of dealing with that and am hoping to find some folks that can collaborate on watches. PS I have completely abandoned any long intraday ideas in this market, if you want to talk about intraday LF longs right now it's gonna be a hard sell.

You might want to check out the Shroomery Discord Chat Channels. There is a room dedicated to stocks and crypto. I don't really participate in there, but I have seen some active discussion, and that would probably be the place to be if you wanted to bounce ideas around in real time.

I do. However, the corporation for the Shroomery is privately held, which means you won't find it on any public exchanges and it is not tradeable. We set it up in 2004 to address the need to create a shared owner/power structure in order to ensure that the website and its community would have longevity through collective management and the ability to make major decisions in a systematic way.
In other news, employment numbers were strong this morning (pre-market), which knocked the futures down since it raises the likelihood that the Fed continues to lean more aggressively on rate hikes. This market is really all about Fed expectations. On the upside, we are landing on some support zones here, and day traders may be able to find some opportunities to buy at the open for a little bounce. It is Friday however, and I wouldn't expect the market to close above yesterday's highs, as it should consolidate sideways a bit first. I likely won't be doing much of anything other than watching the World Cup games. Man, yesterday's Spain v Japan game was a hoot! There have been a ton of great games so far this tournament.
