Biogen (BIIB) granted FDA approval for Alzheimer's drug, which I suppose is a pretty big deal. I have been following ALZ treatments for some time just due to my studies in college. Its not a cure but if it adds a few years of memory that is pretty remarkable...
Anyways, got eyes on it and may pick some up.

The Aduhelm drug approval for Biogen (BIIB) is great, both for the company and for people who suffer from a disease as insidiously wasting as Alzheimers.
SQ looking set to close near its highs of the day, but not above that $118 level I was eyeing. Volume rather light, although a bit of a ramp with buying into the last hour. Just going to sit on this as long as it stays above the Thursday low of $211.25.
AAPL not doing too much, but it did springboard off of the days support zone, right when I thought I was going to get stopped out. No need to chase this one, but with the market coiling below all time highs, we might just get a good move this week and I want to have some chips on the table. AAPL options are liquid and fairly cheap, the stock is near support, and so I don't mind using it as a proxy for some leveraged positioning. A move below today's lows will stop me out, although if we see a bounce at $123 I'll probably hop right back in.
MNMD the definite standout for me today. I added to the position four times and it's just continued to claw higher, closing better than +20% on the day with absolutely massive volume. Given the tight range and resulting volatility squeeze we saw on this as it consolidated over the past month, I think this one can still run quite a bit higher.

Ratcheted up my stop on AAPL to $126 to ensure the trade will close, at minimum, with a marginal profit. SQ is stinking up the joint and my position is down marginally, so I have ratcheted my stop up a buck to the day's lows around $212 to contain the loss. MNMD is trading tightly inside of yesterday's range and I'm happy to sit on that one, even as I had expected better follow through today. Pretty ho-hum action here, opting to let my stops protect my positions and heading out to the zoo with my kiddo instead of watching the paint dry on my screens.

I picked up 5 shares if BIIB yesterday at about $396, was stopped out this morning. Am not eyeing it again right this moment.
The company has released the price of their drug at 56k/year, which is more than twice the highest estimates. As someone who is well aware of the outrageous pricing for medicines and it’s greater affect on insurance premiums, I suddenly turned a little cold (guess this is my social justice battle). Also I do not realistically anticipate many people struggling with ALZ to get much help from Medicare when it comes to getting approved for such a pricy treatment, and don’t know what that looks like for Biogens profit margins moving forward.
If the stock take a significant dip maybe I will reconsider (as I am sure BIIB execs might reconsider the pricetag at that point also)...

I bought Applied Materials and I will get into copper soon. I can't remember the name, but I read about a weed stock yesterday that concentrates on real estate; their building huge grow spaces for other companies.

IIPR has been the leading publicly traded real estate investment trust that actively services cannabis operators. Pays a dividend but it's already up handsomely over the past few years.
CLF looking good here.

SQ and AAPL not doing what I had expected, shut them down, the former for a minor loss, the later for a minor gain.
MNMD is showing some signs of support at its 8 day EMA after retracing its breakout on declining volume. Need to see this one above $3.75 to get more interesting, but I'm comfortable holding what I have for now.
AMZN & SPWR - Emerging from some pretty decent squeezes at their 200 day. With the S&P dragging itself to a new all time high, I expect these will continue to perform. Long AMZN July $3300 calls. Long SPWR Sept $25 calls.
TSLA, RIOT & MARA - These are also squeezing at their 200 day but haven't moved up and out the way AMZN and SPWR have. Bought a starter position via TSLA Sept $620 calls.

Thank you for this analysis. I dipped my toes in MNMD and CLF - even though these are not my typical plays - so they are light. The array of stock is getting larger by the day, and I might start trimming a bit to get back down to a good 4-5 that I can really focus on.

I put it on my watchlist after reading this. I dont know what to think of MEME stocks - the whole thing just sounds so laughable. This one started to tank over the past few days, and I am not excited about throwing money at it - but then again, MEME stocks or not, if it makes money for whatever reason, it makes money.

It's definitely advisable to keep your list manageable. Too many stocks makes you a mutual fund or ETF. If you're going to do that, just buy the ETF ... Definitely want to be able to keep track of what you hold, and with too many positions, it can quickly become overwhelming, particularly when things don't go to plan.

I think next week will be big for growth and tech and all the stocks that have been hit the last couple months
Correct me if im wrong but nasdaq looks ready to go to new highs, volatility looks down, didnt pay much attention to other sectors but market looks like it has some strong bullish potential right now
Lots of stocks breaking out of downtrends, bouncing off low moving averages on daily and weekly charts, breaking up and trading on top, and right now we might be seeing the dip where support is found and a bullish trend is confirmed

I think things are looking pretty good. And why wouldn't they be? Inflationary pressures running rampant in the short term, with expectations that the Fed will keep an easy policy stance for at least the next meeting or two (I still think Fed days are going to get increasingly tougher, as the market begins to anticipate a reaction to the obvious inflation risk). The big question is how soon will the Fed telegraph tightening, and how soon will the market price that in. Of course, there are other unknown unknowns (i.e. wild cards) that can create turbulence along the way, but it sure looks like we are ready to take another leg higher in the major averages.
MNMD printed a high above Monday's breakout, and closed higher than Monday's close, on excellent volume nonetheless. This one is moving in a textbook fashion. Nice volatility squeeze, initial high volume breakout, lower volume retest and now higher volume follow through. Significant upside potential here. Another 25% gain (a near tag of $5) in the coming month seems highly probable.
AMZN hanging tight at the top of its expanding bollinger band after yesterday's breakout. This is what you like to see. Note there are some potential anti-trust concerns surrounding proposed legislation that could break up the party, but something tells me major players already expected it, and the fact that it's coming out publicly now as AMZN is beginning to breakout from its 200 day, indicates to me that the reality of the situation is as good or better than expected.
SPWR, I added again on this morning's weakness. Look at the two big up days this week, the volume off the charts. The two subsequent rest days, lower volume and still printing higher lows. This is a recipe for continued upside.
TSLA, sideways grind. I think it has legs, but it hasn't moved yet and needs to prove itself. Stop @ $579.
Revisiting my recently closed positions; SQ hanging in there, but still showing a bit of selling pressure above $220. AAPL is setting up in a better way. Pretty tight squeeze here with all major moving averages in presence. A breakout will retake the 50 day moving average and should move to $134-$135 pretty easily. If I'm at my desk and see this one moving above $128, I'll be taking a swing with a quick fire load via call options.
Honorable mention to NVDA, shouldn't have let this one off my radar, the breakout after earnings was clearly actionable. Hard for me to buy here but probably going higher.

I am in the market for a new stock broker
I would like one with a nice looking chart/UI and don't care about fees
I've been looking at all the major US brokers and I am not sure which one to go with
I can't really decide, they all look almost the same to me from the outside
What should I be looking for in a broker as someone who wants to make frequent, high(er) risk trades?

I've been using TDAmeritrade since before they merged with TD, and that was a huge improvement for the service with the addition of TD's ThinkOrSwim java based trade platform. Their phone app is OK as well, but if you're really fixing to trade actively, ThinkOrSwim is what you'll want to use. Reliability tends to be better than average. All online brokers will suffer outages during high market volume/volatility, however it's worth noting that Fidelity routinely gets mentioned in one of the active trade forums I frequent, as experiencing connectivity failures way more often than I do with TDA.

Adding AAPL back. AMZN, TSLA, RIOT, MARA all popping nicely. SPWR seeing a little supply overhead, but still setup reasonably well. MNMD not immediately participating, but that's not necessarily unusual on a small thing like this when the rest of the big boys are cooking. Will be raising stops after morning support levels are revealed.
