Down 50% on my AMC. Not feeling so smart anymore . Portfolio is even so I guess chalk it up as a learning lesson to not do stupid shit I don’t understand. Closing this one.

Some of these sells could be borrowed shares as well.
Theres some deep gameplay going on here. I say invest what youre willing to lose. Mark it off.
Worse case this shit goes very big.
If they are selling borrowed shares to scare people off they have to buy them back.
Unless im missing something.

Predicating your trade on someone else who is willing to sustain (assumedly) large losses is not a viable trading strategy.

Deep gameplay, sure. Investing? Hardly. Know what you are doing, and that is not investing, when it comes to playing a short squeeze. My friend picked up GME in the $200's two days ago, and I've told him twice over the past two days to bag the 100% gain he had at various points, but he stubbornly refused because "reddit says to hold until Friday". This guy is a fucking doctor for crying out loud; he's taking investment advice from a gang of self proclaimed retards on reddit vs his schoolyard friend with decades of investing experience... but I digress . Anywho, I wrote the following to him this morning, and I think you might need to hear it too:
"Investment" is an inaccurate classification of your trade. It can still make you money, but if you're going to take an active approach to your wealth management while achieving some measure of consistent results, you need to understand what you're doing. As brokers across the board are disallowing leverage on these trades, and in the worst cases only allowing closing transactions, it will be difficult for retail to maintain the upside momentum. GME is a magnet, because it was the first target and some higher profile investors such as Chamath Palihapitiya (and I'm sure there are others who aren't as vocal), who have access to brokerage tools us mere mortals do not, are at times continuing to juice the trade. But don't be a martyr dude, and don't follow blindly. The powers that be don't take the little guy standing up to them, whilst laying down.
PS. AAPL is about to go green on the day. I've added three times off the lows.

Nah, I went in very light. Kept lowering my buy/shares number till the voice in my head said you wouldn’t care if this went to zero 😁.

If i said investment that was used loosely meaning throw money at it.
Day trading isnt an investment either. Swing trading weekly isnt much of an investment.
To me it is a 100% gamble im willing to make. My investments are in stocks that have hardly been moving that i plan to hold for at minimum a year.
This ill gamble on.

Well said Geo, I’d rather continue training as an investor, not a gambler, especially not with my RothIra.
Have been keeping an eye on AAPL as well, was stopped out at 141.40 a few days ago, missed pullback to 138, am setting some limit orders for that range.

It will likely take days for traders to transfer positions to new brokers or open new accounts. They have effectively shut down a massive amount of buying power just by shutting down RobinHood.
It's not fair or just in any way, but that is how they're gonna win. Without retail access, this thing isn't sustainable.
I could be wrong on this. Maybe the run will keep going. But I still feel better getting out with some gains than being left holding the bag. Even with the short squeeze, if you're not watching the market constantly, you might end up a bag holder in the red.
Looks like I could have held onto GME a bit longer for better gains, but it's still being halted and fluctuating like crazy. Think there's been over 12 halts today.
I never put much into this anyways, only an amount I was OK to lose completely. I'm still glad I managed to get out on top. There will definitely be people who aren't as lucky.
Just saw a guy on reddit posting (r/wsb) who lost $8K on KOSS today. That's gotta fuckin hurt.

Haha it’s not that, im fully in the camp of do what you want with your money. That being said, I’ve created money by attempting to use trading plans based on stock fundamentals, and also by listening to the words of the wise here, and have pretty much only lost money in my life by throwing it get rich quick prospects. Gotta say the short squeeze stuff of late, as interesting as the principle message behind the Reddit move might be, qualifies as the latter to my gut instinct

People are filing lawsuits against RobinHood
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-28/robinhood-customers-sue-over-removal-of-gamestop
There are 13,000+ replies in a r/wsb thread asking for screen shots and more info on how their trades were cancelled and how they were prohibited from buying the stocks.
I have no idea where this could go, but it's pretty fucked up IMO that they pulled this stunt.

I bought the chatter going on about AMC at 15 bucks yesterday I knew it was a huge risk on a dog shit stock, but hey I really wanted to be a part of this movement too. Lost several hundred bucks but im hanging onto this stock through next week. Luckily I bought a bunch of shares of First Majestic AG and it is saving my but today. Silver miners are looking very good today. There is so much froth in the market yet these miners dont really do much in general. Silver could easily hit 100 bucks spot within 6 months the way money is moving in the markets and cryptos.

Welp, that AAPL trade didn't work, and as goes AAPL, often so does the market. Not an encouraging close, and I took a hard look to ensure that my remaining positions were only of items that I am comfortable standing by.
That CGC though, phew, what a player! I did end up putting some PENN on today, albeit a very small size. Would also suggest traders keep an eye on MARA and RIOT, as bitcoin churns around the bottom of its range, any move higher should send these equities on a big sprint. Both MARA and RIOT are presently sitting at the bottom range of their trends higher.

Get rich quick only if youre doing it for greed instead of INVESTING in the cause.
And its only fear preventing it. I really feel perfectly fine throwing money at that shit but thats just me. I relate to those involving themselves in this whole thing and i support the mission. If we get to add to our pockets cool, thatll be a bonus
Make a fucking wave, worth it to give it to them.
Ill hold that shit forever idc, 10 years from now ill have it for all i care. About 10% of my portfolio and i think i like where its sitting quite fine.
And its in joining together that it was accomplished. Something we can all band towards.
Again, thats just me.
I already got my other stakes settled and now all my money is sitting where i want it

any time the nationalists and socialists in this country start putting aside their differences towards a common cause its time to pay attention. This weeks events has to have some of our wealthy overlord class very worried. I had talked about it before that the real struggle is a class struggle, and this has been subverted with the culture struggle. Not that the culture wars are not real i just think they take a back seat in this new tech oligarch gilded age. Where a wealthy couple spends more in one shopping trip at whole foods or one dinner out then i do in a entire month feeding 6 of us. In fact if the one percent didnt manipulate us against each other with fake news and and fake outrage i would support them having insane amounts of wealth because i believe in capitalism. However looking at the hypocrisy and manipulation of our citizens of this one percent class I really dont mind if they end up with their heads on muther focking pikes

I poasted in the pube, but the gme trade is over unless you can go short right now. A bunch of people will bag hold it though. It probably won't go below 40 for months.

Volume peaked and then you got a fat red hammer.
