If anyone is looking for a stock with good growth opportunities over the new few months, I would check out HLX. It's at 32.92 right now, but I sincerely think it will be back up over $40 in no time.

Hell yes.
I got onboard for a few hundred stocks of COMS when it was being speculated that they would be bought out by Bain Capital and a Chinese firm. The deal fell through, but I am holding the stock because I feel it has value and another buyout offer in the future is likely.
Anyways, the stock rose 4% during trading hours yesterday and another 6% after the market closed. There are reports that insiders have bought $1.67M in stock yesterday, so hopefully something big is going to go down.

I love the NOV pick. When I was working in the Oil & Gas industry last year, we dealt with them heavily. They are a powerhouse in the vessel and rig supply industry and I don't think they're going anywhere soon. They're a monster in Houston especially.

Nah, I dumped it awhile back. I wasn't real hot on where it was going, plus I have an emergency expense I had to make. I think I more than likely have been wrong in my analysis of SIRI's situation. The more the feet are being dragged on the approval, the less I feel the price will bump when it finally is approved.

I'm not sure about their stocks, but some companies who serviced our company were:
NOV Hydralift MAN Diesel (A part of Man AG Group) Huisman-Itrec Schottel BJ Services Wartsila BV
I'm not even sure all of these are publicly traded, but I figured i would throw some essential suppliers out there.

After holding out for months and months waiting for it to bottom out, I finally bought HLX for a little over $4.00. Just in July, this was trading at almost $40.00. It's been getting killed by the abundant supply of oil and the following low gas prices.
In the week since I bought it, I'm up 44%. IMO, it is capable of much more than that, too.

I jumped on HLX once it got around $4 (down 90% in less than a year!) and it closed at $9.09 today. It's so tempting to dump it, but I think I'm going to go long on it since the money isn't essential cash I need currently and I feel both that the company has strength and that oil will rise again in the not too distant future.
Good decision, bad decision, or just a decision?

Definitely keep posting. I read this every day. I don't really post since I don't have the funds yet to comfortably be able to put into the market, but I love learning.
I have a relatively small position in one stock, but that's just there so I can make sure I always keep an eye on things. That position is up 33% though.

HLX
I've been holding it forever and was going to jump in a little bit ago when it was $2'ish because everyone was terrified about their horrendous earnings and debt levels. Unfortunately I was running short on funds, so I couldn't justify the risk, but it's been a little over $6 up and down recently.
I'll probably just hang onto it during the summer, but I got in at $4 or so, so I feel there's very little risk holding.

I got out of my one stock today at 7.75. I'm pretty happy with that considering I bought in at just above 4.00. Now I need to either wait for it to pull back or start looking around more. Maybe the earnings season will knock down some prices for me.

Wouldn't GM's BR already be at least slightly priced into the markets? It's not as if this is a surprise or anything now.

SGY, a NG company I have a decent amount of shares in, just announced a deepwater discovery on a prospect site in which they have partial ownership in. It's up over 11% just in after hours. Pretty exciting stuff, I have to say.

The SGY I'm holding just blew away estimates yesterday in their release and is up 11% AH. I'm hoping for a big day today before and especially after the conference call.
