This one has been a whacky wild ride huh? The volatility has been great just unbelievable how much the money is moving on this churn after the crash. I too got scared out of my short positions during the sell off late last week thinking it had already pivoted but then she had more to give so left I dont even know how much money on the table. I called this saw tooth V right at the crash. The fact its i disagree mick I think the real world economy is still guite healthy and people are actually chomping at the bit to get back to work and spend money. Well get back to work when thier juicey unemployment is over. Got back in on some nice bottoms yesterday. I expect a head and shoulders today with some more wacky curve balls coming by the end the week as the market continues to mop up all these momo robinhood day traders making wackadoodle trades theyre pulling from outta dave portnoy and idfk who's ass. Its like whole nother angle on the whole thing. I mean the guy is pumping and dumping stocks all over and claiming he's some fucking genius. he bought in on a crash and any stock he mentions jumps 10% in 2 minutes. How could you not win with that? I really think the guy is gonna blow up all his money and then get brought into court for doing something he was too dumb to know was illegal. He keeps talking up Penn international the fucking guy has a 350million dollar stake in the company for fucks sake. What a fcuking jackass.

I dont see tesla ever becoming a dominate major player in the EV market. I just think their priorities aren't in-line and we havent seen the level of driving innovation that would command that type of staying power against the deep pockets of the auto industry. I think where it sits now is slightly over valued but I certainly don't think theyre going anywhere but rather they won't grow to dominate the market but rather fall into likely the high end luxury niche. :sadyes:

Thats a fair assessment. I've talked alot of shit about musk over the years now but I guess theyre still around somehow I think largely because everyone likes to suck his dick off and believe whatever hairbrained idea he's floating at the moment. Don't forget according to musk 10 years ago by this point we should be going from out net zero battery house to our self driving cars to take us to an underground hypertrain to zip around in tubes eating nutritional pastes getting ready for our space-cation. How much of any of this has been delivered on? I mean I feel like I've been hearing about those powerwall batteries for 10 years but never seen one actually existing in real life nevermind a highly profitable company producing them. Werent they supposed to be in every home by now?

Well never see his ridiculous super trains. Tesla will never capture the autonomous commercial vehicle market.

I bought a bit of coke at very bottom of the crash when pretty much we had no idea what was going on. One thing I knew was that they weren't going to be as bad off as alot of people were projecting at the time. Sold it in June at $48.70 cuz there was alot more money to be made elsewhere. Its currently sitting at about 46 and change. I haven't really taken a look at it to see whats going on under the hood. Something tells me they have other issues besides whats at face value. I think I could be a decent buy still tho.

Besides those I dont like any of buffets latest moves I think hes just so old at this point hes lost touch with reality and is looking at corona numbers and thinking its the great depression.

Let's face it too japan is prob worse off economically than America from the corona boner but those companies are relatively solid. During the crash I bought up alot of similar companies for the reason you stated plus they were too big to fail and were gona get the juiciest of bail outs barring the collapse of the world economy which if happened we'd have alot bigger troubles to worry about than what stocks we're holding. The difference being I was working on the front lines and absolutely did not see anything close to an economy grinding to a halt infact i saw alot of money being spent and alot of folks working from home and everyone else bending over backwards to spend that juicey unemployment as fast as possible. While buffet I think sat in an ivory tower screaming "THIS IS IT THIS IS THE BIG ONE"

How are people feeling about the solar industry as far as long term growth and development? Also tesla keeps moving the shells when people find out there's nothing underneath its going to be a bloodbath. I mean I've been wrong a few times before but everything to me screaming its gonna pop. In my mind their teetering all its gonna take is one more fuck up or some competition to come down the pipe which we all know is coming. Its all hype and dumb money. The stampede away from the stock will trigger seismic activity. Even if you think the total opposite and think tesla is gonna be some new millenia ford (:laugh2:) how could u justify the current valuation?

Huh thought u were in tar sand. I'm pretty sure biden is in barring any kinda seriously insane shit and there's going to be some kind of big business favored green new deal. All these stifling retaliatory tariffs and revocation of subsidies will vaporize and indeed I believe the entire industry will be ironed out and restructured. I've always said that all it will take is for solar panels to become just that much more efficient and all of a sudden its a major utility provider. What other new tech may come down the pipe or even what that kind of shift would mean for some of these individual companies is hard to say though.

How do people feel about the current health and future of the broader market as a whole with both the new Biden presidency and the various corona unknowns and other factors we face moving forward?

Yes I thought that we would weather this a little better but I have a feeling theres more of a bumpy ride to come as far as covid is concerned. U know this second wave is going to fuck up the Christmas money. Thats way differnt than spring. But I also like the have our cake eat it too presidents. That and the book cooking and cash injection from the feds. Globally theres sure to be quite a ripple from this thing for sure which isn't good for anything. I think we're going to see alot of money moving around in the next couple of years. Booms and busts as stuff turns over. Corona has only sped this up.

Things like baba and etsy had alot of money move into them as a quasi shelter from the crash. Also etsy is a pretty good company its just idk how much they have to really grow from here.
