found outside...can i fruit them INDOORS?? HELP!

i have grown before (i am not an expert by any means, but understand the process and all) ....i found a few shall we say 'cow patties' the other day in a pasture that has small pinheads all over them...i grabbed a few covered sections in the hopes of fruiting them myself indoors....i put them in a simple terrium and they have only been in there for a day or so....not much yet...will this work?...please help...am trying to take them with me friday to a dave matthews show....any comments/criticism appreciated....

A friend of mine took some cow poo that she pluck some fruits from home with her and put it in a 5 gallon bucket outside. The next day, and a few days after, she had 2 flushes. Mabe thats a wild shot, but I dont see why it wouldnt work. Just make sure their the right kind of mushrooms, not death caps. bluhoney

thanks for the post so quickly blu....one other follow-up do you think the bucket ould be better than using a manmade enclosed terrium?

I would try not to change the enviroment too much. If it was found outside fruiting fine, then go ahead and leave it in as natural enviroment as you found it. My friend did get very nice field size mushrooms from her experiment. bluhoney

I retrieved several patties a couple weeks ago and put them outside a neighbors shed. They have recently begun fruiting, so it can/does work. I can't gaurantee the time it will take them to fruit though. But if it already has pins, it should make it in time.
