on the subject of aborts..
    #7826600 - 01/03/08 07:56 AM (16 years, 29 days ago)

so..the general consensus around here is that water droplets left on pins in the FC encourage pins to abort.

however, leaving pins on a cake after a flush, and then dunking the cake, is encouraged.

it seems that the two contradict each other. can someone clarify?

Water droplets on PRIMORDIA and HYPHAL KNOTS may cause the future pins to abort. Pins on the other hand, are not as troubled by standing water.

In any case a good fanning after misting is good practice.

Agreed fanning after a good misting should dry any water droplets that have landed on your shrooms.

Theres another topic on this matter, and alot of people are saying cakes like to be wet.
