what the hecks wrong with talking to myself or walking around singing...i'm always whistling a tune or singing something when im by myself. I don't much care if people want to stare, sometimes people join in if i'm singing something popular under my breath.

These people probably aren't talking to themselves, they're on their bluetooths and other cellphone earpieces. You're not supposed to be annoyed by that, you're supposed to think these people are cool and important. duh

Quote:
from wikipedia: Depictions of Eccentricity
Eccentricity is often associated with genius, giftedness, or creativity. The individual's eccentric behavior is perceived to be the outward expression of his or her unique intelligence or creative impulse[1].In this vein, the eccentric's habits are incomprehensible not because they are illogical or the result of madness, but because they stem from a mind so original that it cannot be conformed to societal norms. In this vein, Edith Sitwell wrote:
Eccentricity is not, as some would believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd.
you're just mad that you're not a genius.
that, or you just don't know what eccentric means.

I say eccentric for ftw, life would be boring if filled with nothing but stereotypical suburbanites.
Christopher Lloyd is my eccentric pick.

Exactly. People these days are so scared of being branded a "wierdo" they don't exhibit the characteristics that make meeting new people fun. If everyone had the same "normal" characteristics life would be extremely boring. Who can honestly say they have never been at a party and the people around you are indulging in boring, mundane conversation and you happen to get chatting to a rather "excentric" character, who can honestly say that the person didn't brighten the mood and make you laugh no end?

Being 'weird' has worked for me. When I can pry the weirdness out and stop being a bitch worrying about peoples impressions.

Anxiety is natural to a certain extent, and if you see someone overly anxious about something, try talking to them instead of being pissed off at them, maybe that'll do some good.

No, "u r" in fact wrong, and proving yourself wrong in your own posts. None of that behavior is outside of the norm because SO MANY PEOPLE DO IT.
Sheesh. Disliking something people do doesn't make it not normal.

i don't like to make a lot of unnecessary eye contact in public because the more eye contact i make, the more weird people start talking to me... like 50 year old meth addicts asking me if we can date
