I don't know, but I really like Echoes. The other songs on that album aren't my favorites.

The hype is accurate. Dark side wins IMO
And for me, follwed by: Meddle, Piper, WYWH. In no particular order, but Dark side is the Magnum Opus.

The classics me has on vinyl.

Is everyone forgetting the greatness that is Piper at the Gates of Dawn?
For me it's four way tie between that, DSOTM, Wish you were here, and Obscurred by Clouds.
The Wall doesn't even come close.

Animals is definitely my favorite. After that it changes too often to give a definitive answer, but some of my other favorites are A Saucerful of Secrets, Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Ummagumma (Live) and The Final Cut.
Also, the video in my sig is a movie montage set to the Pink Floyd songs, Careful With That Axe Eugene and Sheep.

I don't have a favourite album. But I do have a favourite song: Dogs.
I play it really loud and one of the reasons I like it so much is that my dogs go crazy and start howling and barking when they here the other dogs bark and get really confused when they can't work out where the other dog is.
It has me in stiches every time.

LOL yes it is.
As was stated earlier, there's only favorites, not a best. DSOTM has great transitions and is a fun one, but I can't say it makes me feel the way Wish You Were Here (specifically the song, but the rest of the album as well) does. Animals is just fucking dark and I like it. I like Atom Heart Mother because its kinda mellow but at the same time kinda intense.
I downloaded this thing called "A Tree Full of Secrets" which is just weird stuff.
As for the wall, I couldn't call that a #1, it has some great songs on it though i'm not bashin git.
my favorite is a tie between Animals and Wish You Were Here although it varies from time to time.

does anyone have this song to share by any chance
my entire music collection got wiped out when my (ex)roommate smashed my computer (after some bullshit ass personal dispute between us) and I haven't had the funds to go out and rebuild it yet
