Mushrooms on the Mountain

So yesterday i woke up at 6am and got in the car with my mom and friend to drive to whistler. We arrived around 8ish and my friend went to pick up his student pass, but got denied for a while as he tried to prove he was in fact a student. I took a run down from the top, splitting up with my mom, and met my friend back at the whistler creekside gondola and he had his pass.
We rode to the top, took the peak chair and started down towards some back bowls where we could stop in the trees for a snack. We ate approximately 3gs of cubes each in sandwich and continued to ski. We ended back up at the gondola for a long wait and then continued to ski a few more fast runs before the mushrooms kicked in. The visuals were not very strong but the feeling was incredible. After about 2 hours we smoked a few bowls of weed and hash and the trip intensified slightly. We continued to spend the day skiing, and just enjoying the beauty of the mountain. It was kind of clear at points and we saw some incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The wind was blowing tiny ice particles around that gave an awesome effect, even producing rainbows in the clouds of ice. As some heavy clouds began to move in visibility dropped quickly and i became engulfed in my hallucinations. We decided to head back to where it was clear.
Throughout the day I had a deep sense of connection with the trees and mountain and it was a great experience overall. The mushrooms did not seem to impede my skiing too much at all and the sensation from going fast and tearing through the snow was phenomenal. We ate the mushrooms around 930 and ended our day at 330 arriving at the bottom. We met back up with my mom and started the drive home. My mom commented on how the ice particles had a "psychedelic" effect, which made my friend and I worried she might have caught on to our plan, but alas at the end of the drive she asked me if i wanted to go strait home and drive my friend back home, but i just said to drop him off on the way, we had done it all without her finding out. She probably thought we were just really high from smoking since she knows we smoke.
Overall it was an incredible experience i recommend to anyone who is a good skier/boarder. I found the tripping on the mountain is a great place because even though there are tons of people you don't need to converse with anyone very much and the goggles obscure the massive pupils. I definitely plan on repeating the experience and I also want to try it on LSD.
Has anyone else had some experiences skiing on the mountain, and how were they?

No, we split up with my mom for the day, only saw her at the end when we were down.

Nice report...though I'm not sure I could board on 3g's! Last time I was in the mountains I ate 3gs and none of my tripping partners nor I thought we could have been skiing...we were just floppin around on the floor in a mess of psychedelia. I guess it depends on how far you let yourself go and in this instance i let go completely. I'm sure the focus you can achieve while skiing on shrooms is just incredible.
As far as a connection with the trees & mountains, I feel ya. Even the first time I was in the mountains I thought of them as being alive; the essence of the mountains just spills out to me. Mountains seem to be very ancient beings to me.

I haven't been to the mountains (yet), but I've longboarded down a hill on 3.5g, it was an amazing experience. Anything where you're moving fast is incredible, even running if you run fast enough. It feels almost like you're speeding through both space and time.

I did some back country snowboarding on acid once. It was amazing. I plan on doing it again before the winter is over.
I don't know about dosing at a ski resort though, too many damn people.

I'd assume acid is much much better for physical sports than shrooms, because of the lack of tactile phenomena. I just feel like I'm melting on shrooms - not something I would want to deal with while moving at 60mph down a snowy hill!

I didn't find the people a problem at all, I just kept distance on the runs and in the lines stayed quiet, the chairlift rides were always amazing as well, just watching the mountain.

I might try a small dose at a ski resort sometime this winter. Maybe 1.7 grams of shrooms or 1/2 hit of some potent acid. I'm just worried about being all paranoid around all those people, but like you said the googles hide your eyes, and with all my gear on no one would even be able to see my face.
