Salvia with music

I have a gram of 15x from BBB. I have a zune with all my favorite music on it. It is 11:30 dark and cold (in my opinion perfect for salvia).I could take salvia in a open field staring at the stars with my zune on. Has anyone found that music affects a salvia trip much? If anyone thinks this is a good idea, what music should I play? I don't think it should be a song with lyrics. I was thinking Sigur Ros, Pink Floyd, This Will Destroy You, or Boards of Canada.

I don't like to use Salvia with music...in my opinion/experience, it causes too much stimulation and I found it's harder to have a clear experience. Granted, there have been a couple of trips I had where I didn't even hear the music that was playing, but I don't play music when I trip anymore.

I love listening to music on Salvia Last time I listened to The Beatles and it was fantastic. Boards of Canada would probably be great

Really, during the peak you didn't hear the music? I could see it being over stimulating. However it would be the only thing stimulating my senses. In my experience salvia is best done in a dark quiet room by yourself. I even wear a blind fold. Anyone else have experience with salvia and music?

First time I did salvia, there was a CD of my friend playing in the background. It was Linkin park music played by an orchestra. All instrumental. It was really great for salvia space.

Yea when i'm really out there i honestly don't even hear the music or if i do it's completely distorted to the point i couldn't tell you what was playing. But it's nice to have something smooth and groovy playing while your coming down. The salvia afterglow makes you feel like a king.

My first breakthrough, I was listening to Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and I didn't hear the music from about 1-2 minutes in to where the vocals start. I have had some great trips listening to Anugama's "Shamanic Dream" as well, but I find that nothing but salvia + brain +incense works best for me.

Well tell me what you think I should try for salvia. Do you like bright rooms or completely black? With friends or alone?

Both quiet and loud, dark and light all have their good effects on the Salvia experience. The best way is to experiment with what you find the best... I had an amazing experience lying on the floor listening to Yes, while my head was spinning around in a starry expanse. I also had a great time watching the trees move, with nothing but the sounds of the forest wrapping around my head...
As far as with or without friends, I find that whenever I have friends with me, it seems to tone down the intensity of the experience a bit... it might not be like that for everybody, but that's how it is for me.

For me, the only way I'll smoke salvia is as follows: in my room, lights off, no electronics or anything on, incense burning, and laying on my bed with a lamp on the ground (my bed is two mattresses on the floor). I'll take generally three hits of 10x, flick off the lamp while my coordination still allows, lay back and close my eyes and whoosh.
I have smoked salvia inside, outside, with friends, and without friends, and I've found that the above method is the best for me. When I have smoked with other people, I just feel the "salvia gravity" and discomfort really; for me, it distracts me from the effects I want. I use salvia as a learning tool and entheogen rather than something to have fun with, so I try to make my surroundings conducive to that.

One time while listening to pink floyd, I was coming up on the 20x salvia that I just did a bong hit of it nearly cashing the salvia. As soon as I was peaking, I couldn't even hear the song that was playing until about 1 minute after that initial "What the fuck!!!" part.
Another time, I was listening to a phish song, and as soon as I blew up the smoke, I heard the lyrics and they said "You're screwed, You're screwed" and hallucinated my mom walking into my room. When I came down, i realized that's not how the song was suppose to go.
Music on salvia is very fucked up for me.

I have never had good experiences with any form of stimulation and Salvia. To me, Salvia breakthroughs and trips completely separate me from the external senses and bring me into a completely internal world with its own senses.
Although I do find the right environemental music conducive to the set and setting leading UP TO the trip. For me, its usually Enigma 3 or 4.

I find when I smoke salvia with friends that I try to talk to them. I feel like I have to tell them whats wrong with me but I just absolutely can't. That makes the trip a lot less fun for me.
Best trip I ever had on salvia I was laying on my bed with the lights out and closed my eyes. I came to peace with the salvia people.

There is a lot of music that people make for Salvia. Most of it is quiet soft new age type music. I think if you do a search for "music for salvia" or "salvia music" you can see what people are recommending for salvia use.

I've very curious what Phish song you're talking about... I also know how fucked up your interpretation of lyrics can be while under the influence...

I wish I remembered the name. It was on Live Phish number 8 I believe but I can't figure out what the song was. It sounded so different after that hit.

I remember one time, not too long ago, I was doing it at a campfire with a friend of my father watching me. As soon as I took the hit, my mouth started warping and twisting... I knew that it looked weird, but I couldn't stop it. I thought he was going to think I was weird, so I kinda got freaked out... it stopped once the trip started getting more intense. The campfire turned into a pair of lips, and beams of light were shooting towards me from far in the distance... it was pretty astonishing.
Anyway, the point is, I know exactly what you're talking about.

I know exactly what you mean. Being along is the only time I really can enjoy it. People can be too damn critical anyway.
