Help me out with my humidity please

Hey, here's a brief rundown of my set up
- Cool mist humidifier (unfortunately, its a wick-type, not an impeller) @ three two hour intervals a day (serves as fresh air intake as well)
Ultrasonic humidifier @ 24 hours light @ 12 hours plastic sheeting enclosure with cracks at the seams (very small) for exhaust, doubt it has anything to do with humidity
the problem is, i can't get the humidity to go above the mid 80s.. I need to solve this before i get my PRs in there ( I just read that they're tough to fruit).. I have some koh samuis in there now without any sign of pinning.... should i just buy the damn impeller type humidifier?? I've spent so much money on humidifiers, its getting absurd
any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Is your ultra on for 24 hours? All the time? Shit. That alone should keep that bastard at 100%. You might also benefit from the impeller type humidifier. I don't know.

Is your hygrometer reliable?

An impeller type cool mist such as the vicks 400 sitting inside the greenhouse will easily deliver 90+ percent humidity without an ultrasonic. Calibrate your hygrometer and then tweak your timers until you get the desired level. RR

If your FC is all fogged up, I don't see how the RH is below 100%. Sounds like a shitty hygrometer to me.

so your saying to put the vicks humidifier INSIDE the greenhouse with the mushrooms to boost humidity??? would that cause any electrical problems or is something like that built to last against humidity?

Yes. INSIDE greenhouse. It's always 100% humidity inside the humidifier. I've been running that setup for years. RR

No, I like growing healthy mushrooms. Perhaps you need to study the UL listing requirements for humidifiers if you think they're not made for use around water. RR

yeah, it makes sense... i mean if the air intake is bringing in air thats super-humid.. and then adding more vapor, its only going to help right?
thanks
