You don't have a tray at the bottom of your PC like the one below?:

If you do have a tray and it's still not working, place a folded towel at the bottom of your PC to raise the bags up higher. Gas stoves usually melt the bags because the flame comes up the sides of the PC.

i have a tray on the bottem, and an electric burner, ive tryed proping them up with jar lids also but it dident make a differance.
in RR video roadkill poited out that one of the worst things you can do is use a towel in the sterilization process, its ineffective
You wrap them in towels foo man?

No, I've never had that problem with the bags myself except for one time that my PC ran out of water. It was a freakin' mess! I use the tray and an electric burner and I've never had a problem.
I didn't mean "wrap" the bags with a towel. I meant fold a towel so that it is flat as possible on the bottom of the PC and place the bags on top of it to elevate them higher off the bottom. If your bags are melting to the sides, that means there is too much heat where the bags are touching the PC or like in my case, you ran out of water in your PC. White, black, green. The color doesn't matter. I wouldn't use your favorite towel.

My gusseted spawn bags touch the sides of the PC all the time and I've never had one melt. Perhaps try ordering bags from a different supplier. Of course, you need something on the bottom to elevate them away from the direct heat of the burner, but with an electric stove, the sides shouldn't be hot enough to hurt the bags. Sometimes this is a problem with gas stoves if the flame curls around the PC and up the sides. RR

Now that RR mentioned it, are the bags you're using meant for autoclaving?
