Safe to mist regularly? *pic*
    #7817817 - 12/31/07 04:56 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

this is my first attempt ever. Things are looking pretty good so far from what I hear. at this stage is it safe to mist these guys regularly with a good fanning afterward? im getting some pretty bad bruising on the cakes but the little guys seem to be growing well. just wondering if everything looks ok based on your guys experience. also is an average temp of 76 f ok? RH seems to be holding steady at about 92.

go ahead and mist it as much as you like. I mist my cakes directly and almost soak them completely and they give off really nice fruits all the time. I find that in 10 minutes they absorb everything and look as if they can use some more.

True Dat!!! Mist away, pf cakes love to be wet since they do not have a casing layer. Even if they are rolled

You can also pour water directly onto the verm on top of the cake to get it nice and wet.

I have noticed no ill effects from giving a good misting, have always had nice sized fruits, i did have a mutant that went weird and didnt open propery which got a little wet sometimes as it was on the top.

But i just put that down to genetics, i was on my third flush.

As long as the verm is there acting like a casing layer you cant go wrong with misting.
