Cap:Conical; grey-green w/ darker spots, mildly a little transparent; tan-ish center; drying to a light aqua-grey Gills:white with very slight greenish-bluish hue, not attached Stem: kinda metalic grey/light-blue tinted Bruising: Stem bruises dark blue-green, then after some time it eventually becomes more of an almost-black/blue green; Cap bruises green blue but then dries to a light grey/green Habitat: found alone in really soft ground under leaves with furs and oaks, and very few alders... Scent: earthy....
the Spore-Print is on the way, but does anyone have any idea what it could be? any suggestions? Sorry for the lack of picture, i don't have a camera... Thanks

Hard to say without a pic, but there is a possibility it could be a poisonous Amanita or something from your brief description, so i wouldn't eat it if I were you. What do you think it could be, that you are looking for with white gills?

it was about 2 1/2 to 3 inches tall before I broke it. the stems really fragile as well, but the cap is pretty resiliant... the spore print is proving difficult too, it's showing up really really light, so I'll leave it for awhile and check again- it looks like it might want to be grey, but I can't be sure yet

I guess you could have a mycena. Although I'm not too sure that the bluing mycenas blue very strongly, like yours did. Anyways, check mycena for any matches.

Yeah- I just looked at a bunch of mycena's and alot of them are really close to what I have... None quite like it though.. But there's still a massive amount of them that I haven't looked at... Are mycena's generally poisonous?

not much is known about the edibility of many mycenas. Some are thought to contain the poison muscarine.
