NEED help fast!!!
    #781654 - 07/28/02 10:12 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Well, I was wanting to dose today, but before hand I wanted to look at the inside anatomy of a dried mushroom (it's my first time growing). I took my largest mushroom and broke it in half to see the inside. Now, is a blueish/green color a normal color for the inside of a mushroom stem? I was just wondering if they are safe to eat.

Thanks,
Alatore

You are fine, it's just bruising from handling the mush

Well where did you get the spores? If they're from a vendor, you can eat em. If they stain blue most likely they are the good ones. If you grew them, they are probably the ones you want. Do they look like psilocybe mushrooms?

Yeah, they're psilocybe cubensis. I got them from ralphsters spores.

Thanks for the info, I was just a tad bit concerned that I might have done something wrong. Oh well, it's a learning process, and a fun one at that.

Thanks,
Alatore
