Can't you just declare it and say you are bringing it as spending money?

Put it in an envelope and pack it in your carry on luggage. Or cash it all in for nickels and fill up a suitcase.

Or, buy a few ounces of coke, mule it in your stomach, and sell it in the country of your destination. Not only will you get the money over, you might make some. Don't eat any pop rocks, nuts, or drink soda, unless you want to die.

It's the only logical path. Western Union is for pussies.

Get a money order and cash it when you get there?

Alternatively, I don't think $2500 would raise too many eyebrows. Just make sure you keep an eye on it and don't chance it in your back pocket.

Yes, wallet. We're not so drastically enslaved that we have to start hiding our money inside our asses now.

Just don't lose it.

Change it into the highest denomination your currency allows.. if thats 100s you only have to carry 25 notes.. which is a small wad compared to 125 20s ..

i got 10 100s and the rest 20s. kind of a fat wad to squeeze in my wallet. i was scared to put it in check in baggage in fear that a worker might see the easy oppurtunity and pocket that shit if my bag was randomly searched. i think im just going to have it in an envelope zippered deep within my carry on back pack. if anyone asks..."just sold my dirtbike/moped/jetski" or something like that

If I were you I would get a money order made out to that same amount (just make sure it is payable to cash). With that, you can get the cash at pretty much an US bank with no questions asked.

Its only 2500 Put it in your wallet. Get a chaine on it if you need. Its a nice chunk of chash but you should be more afraid of what you will do with it when you get there if you are gonna stay at a hotel.

You don't need to be convicted of a crime to have your money taken by the pigs. WHile I've not heard of this small an amount being seized w/out conviction, it can happen.

They simply sue the money, and you have to defend.

I would think you'd be ok if you can PROVE you got it from a legitimate source if you get caught with it. If you withdrawl it from the bank KEEP the bank receipt with it.

Lol he didnt say 250 000 did he? 2500 is not much money to go travling with. They wont think twice with that on you. They get people with money like that daily. A day in a diffrent country can cost 400 500 bucks just for food and a room more depending on where you go.

Not sure of the local laws to where you're travelling to (you should check this out yourself); but coming INTO the United States, each person is allowed to bring up to $10,000 of cash on their person without paying any tax penalty. My grandmother, who grew up in Poland and Estonia, had her property confiscated behind the Iron Curtain, and ultimately got it back after Estonia declared their independence during the 1990's. She sold one of the properties and keeps the funds in an account there. When we visited earlier this century, she took $10,000 US funds out of the bank there and taped them around her stomach for the flight home. No one noticed a thing.
