Worst Pinning on Record!!!!!!!!!

I am having the worst pinning in the world. I got a 13'' by 9'' rubbermaid I cased with 50/50. Mycelium was grown on rye grain. Substrate is 2 - 2 1/2'' with 3/4'' of casing soil. Strain-Hawaiian I only have 6-7 pins!!!! its been 3 weeks scence I cased and the largest one is 2'' My temp is 77F and humitity is good. I have a aquarium air pump into a glass of water plus 2'' of peralite the bottom of the FC and 3-4 times misting a day. I also have a total of 6 1/4'' holes around trhe FC to helop with fresh air. What am I doing wrong? I was thinking that the casing could have got sealed maybe? Everything else is just to perfect.
Any input is greatly apreciated!! Thanks -mushies101-

was your casing grown through when you initiated pinning? IMO, it's a good idea to cover the tray with plastic wrap or something until you can see the mycelium in the low parts of the casing. Then introduce fresh air exchange to initiate pinning.

2-2 1/2" of just rye grain, or did you spawn to bulk?

I put down a layer of verm then the substrate then casing soil. I did have it covered for almost a week before I added FAE. Is there a good chance it is sealed?

By sealed do you mean overlay?
Read this. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=60&Number=3290155&fpart=&PHPSESSID=
Also, bottom casing is not a good idea as it will dry out your substrate eventually as when the water in that bottom layer is used up the verm will suck more water out of the substrate. Another disadvantage is that it promotes bottom pinning.

you've provided a micro-climate on the bottom of your caseing. Perhaps your other pins are "down under".

Ahhh, I didn't think it was a good idea but I got on here and alot of people said it would help from it drying out. Is there anyway to fix this?

yess you introduced FAE and light way to early. I had the same problem on my first grow. I had a tub that was your dimensions with about 4 82 gram fruits. I find that when you have more pins there smaller fruits equaling almost the same in weight.

How did I induce pinning to early, it had almost 2 weeks before I gave them FAE. I had to patch many times from the mycelium coming through the surface of the casing.
