What is living in the now?

Living in the moment seems impossible to me.I cant really accept it as possible. Maybe im not exactly sure on what it means.
From what i gather it means not waiting to enjoy life and experiencing it now.
This is not really possible to me tho. Other than the opening up for enjoyment.
I think this because i live in a world of commitment where food and the things that allow me to eat, are impossible to come by if you dont plan ahead for anything. If you dont stop being in the moment and being in the future.
I think what it means to me then is realizing that enjoyment, life and love are all here, now. The experience of them is not seperate from us.
I think this makes sense.
What would you say to the question.
-------------------- The mind is a creative tool. It searches to protect you, through message sensations(feelings). It is no different than a computer, you need to make sure its anti-virus program is in check and that it doesnt have a script that limits your experience, because of to much precaution. And remember the computer does not appear to respond to words of anger and frustration - just give it input, in the form of new meanings that you know to be true and its messages to you and the limits it lays out for you, will change. Guilt is an outcome of believing you are the cause of the problems. Yet, we are not a cause to something, we see is negative or bad - Unless you believe your intentions are directed towards a bad outcome....

i think it means ignore your best judgment. Or it least it does in my case.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

Well, we're always in the now, it's just a matter of remembering that.
Planning things for the future is in the now. "You" write down a plan for the future in "the now"

It's impossible to catch when one thinks about it because presence is felt.

the key to living in the now is apathy, or perhaps distance would be a kinder term. ultimate liberation requires apathy. when nothing matters there is nothing to do about it. when nothing matters there is nothing to change, or fight, or worry about, or look forward to, or prepare for ect. you got to throw it all out the window to truly live and process immediate experience all the time.
that is not to say there is no emotion, only that you hold onto nothing, even emotions. it is certanly possible to be dancing on this earth in ecstacy, whilst holding onto nothing.
