"HPPD typically emerges immediately after the conclusion of a hallucinogenic “trip” – as if the influence of the drug never completely dissipates. However, a significant portion of the HPPD population suffer the visual change afterward, with the onset delay ranging from days to even months." (Wikipedia: 'HPPD')
I assume many of you here have HPPD of some form, so how long did it take for HPPD to hit? Immediately after the trip? Days, weeks, months, years...?
Which drug ultimately caused the onset of your HPPD?

Don't think of it as HPPD man.
It's not a thing that just starts.
It's not a condition.
Well, not if you don't make it out to be one.
It's a gift and curse you asked for when you put the drugs in your body.
I know this isn't answering your questions outright... so I'm sorry.
To answer your questions, lots of DXM and LSD and shitloads of mushrooms did it for me.
I don't know, I'm rambling because... I can?
It's not a condition.
It's a state of being just like never taking drugs and existing is.

I just recently noticed some concrete HPPD, and that was about 2 weeks after my last mushroom trip. Stuff breathing and what not.
Honestly though I've never heard of HPPD to ever be something to be afraid of.
Also, it's not something you can worry about to much because, short of HPPD, tripping will make you notice things about the world you never noticed, and that could be misconstrued as HPPD.

Screw the term "HPPD". It's just a term made up to scare people. The merging of the psychedelic state and sober state is beautiful.
