As long as they are not in an incubator you will be fine for at least two weeks

I don't know if you can over colonize, but I am using the rye tech and after 100% colonization was achieved, a clear liquid started form in some of the jars. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Is the rye fermenting an producing ethanol?

No, its metobolites, the myc will produce this as it eats the substrate. I get this in all my pf tek jars when nearing 100% colinistaion, it can be rinsed off before dunking and rolling.

Its quite interesting stuff, apperently if you put it onto a petri dish with bacteria, it will stop it.
