Alternate Incubation Chamber

So I've gotten everything I need to knock up some jars for my first grow, but I need to put together a good incubation chamber, because around here my house has only been about 70 degrees fahrenheit.
I've seen the tub in tub incubators, and those are all fine and dandy, but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea for an incubation chamber using a heater I already have available, namely, a small heat rock used in a reptile aquarium, before I go out and buy something else. I believe it would best be used as a small, small space heater.
Any comments on a possible setup? I would need to put it in a space that would not burn, so I could leave it on for a long time without starting a fire. Are there any incubation chambers out there that don't use the TiT method, that I have missed? Thanks!

70 is fine, no need for an incubator. It will give you more problems that it is worth. You'll only have to wait an extra week or so, and without the hasstle.

Search for "Heat Bomb", but I still don't think your heater is gonna work.
70F is fine, it'll just take a little longer for your jars to colonize.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I still wish there was something easy I could set up though

There really really is no point. Why complicate things more than necessary?

You can always plug in a small space heater in the room, but if you're comfortable in a t-shirt, the mycelium will be also. RR
