I found this in my storeroom and was wondering if it can be used for shrooms, I have some pics of it, and the ingredients The Ingredients
Pic of the company name and product name
Pic of front of bag
Pic of the back of bag
And Pic of the Bottom (10 dry quarts, 11L)
Also, this bag is sealed, but it does not say it is sterilize and it has been kept in my storeroom for over a year or 2, maybe more, do i have to sterilize it? (besides putting it in the pc), and is there anything else that i need to do, or can i just put it in the jars, pc it, then innoculate? Thanks

I don't know, it sounds like it would work as a casing layer, but not as substrate.

Well, I was just going to use the pf tek, and not do casings because this will be my first grow, but since I already have something that will be good for casings, should I just try it? I will have 4 syringes, 2 f+, 1 SA, and 1 B+
should I try casings for the f+?

Each journey begins with a few small steps. You have enough spores to go around a bunch of times, any way you want. Try both. Diversity is a good thing. Plus it spreads your odds better, if some fall to contams. Follow PF & a good grain or bird seed Tek. Once you have a colonized cake(s) and/or jar(s), your well down the path towards fruits. The first thing to learn is patience, because the path has a few trails that can go no where. Trial & error is how you learn. SixTango

Wouldn't pastuerization of the bag in a boiling pot @ 170 be a better option?

I have used this many times before and the contents are basically the 50/50 mix....Pressure large amounts in a turkey roasting bag for future use if you wish...This stuff is hard to find in the winter ,,stock up now!.....

lol, winter??? what is that?
but seriously i have summer 24/7, all i see is hot/dry, hot/wet, and that is it, and there are over 50 bags at the store
im not being a bitch or anything, but those bags arnt going anywhere
but thanks, my first casing will be w/that, and also straight verm casing
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------' and as for the "gerber tek" when my spores come i will use a syringe on that, and the rest w/ half pint jars (if i can find them), if i cannot find them, then i will think of something else to "experiment" with
