I think when it comes to pollution and other environmental problems, science is our best hope. Ever watch the show "Eco-Tech"? It's through technology that we're going to be able to get off of oil. Of course, as with war and other human problems, the primary thing we need is a shift in consciousness.

Exactly, I think it's not our best hope at all. Our only hope IMO is emotional maturity which is sadly in lacking humanity in general and in the folk (scientists and politicians and you and me) who will implement technology in our behalf.

Nice to finally get a discussion around the topic of this post.

What the fuck is "emotional maturity" and who defines what constitutes it?

Yes, and it is through technology that we were able to get on oil in the first place.

All this time I've loved you
And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs

I am the example of it and I define it.

It shouldn't be left in Gods incapable hands.
