I've tried it. I used all organic ingredients. I added a little lemon and honey. I liked the taste. It's basically just fermented tea.

you have grown them or just tried it? We have tried to mix it with a variety of things the taste is a little off. I was wondering if it had to do with how long it sat before changing tea? we usually let it go 4 to 7 days.

I've made it. It usually takes a week to ten days to complete when using a single stage method. I used a continuous brewing method, in where when I took some out to drink, I replaced it with fresh tea and sugar, keeping the cycle going.

Mrs Rabbit and I made it for years, and gave away hundreds of cultures here and elsewhere. I could never stomach the taste and they're a real pain to keep up with when you're busy with other stuff. I tossed out all our cultures a couple of years ago.
It's also mostly yeast, and not a mushroom at all. RR
