Rogue Mushroom flipped my cake over.

One one of my cakes I have one huge mushroom growing and the rest are about the same size. So when I got home tonite I checked on my babies and the freak mushroom flipped the whole cake unto its side.
1. Should I try and put the cake back up right.
2. I have another cake that has some good size fruits but they are growing straight towards the perlite (down). Is this going to be a problem?

i guess if there are no more pins forming and the flush is about to complete trying not to hurt the existing pins and fruits you can try to put the cake back up , if the monster shroom is mature harvest it then put it back up , dont know about the second question but relocate your light to somewhere closer to give them a chance to turn their direction , they might get waterlogged if they grow on perlite as far as i know . Peace

Yeah you need to have your light source more above the cakes. I'll frequently rotate my trays and I've noticed the mushrooms move towards the light in less than a day.

Definitely prop the cake back up. You dont want it directly resting on perlite. If it absolutely won't stand upright because of physics put some tinfoil between the cake & perlite so your cakes dont get waterlogged. I use jar lids under my cakes and some end up at some weird angles so the cakes will stand straight.
I had the same problem with some fruits growing down after I dunked some cakes after first flush and put the cake back in the FC upside down. It already had a few pins when I dunked. Half the fruits grew down, half grew up. I just put little pieces of tin foil between the fruits & perlite. They stopped growing down, and grew out, but not up. Didnt seem to hinder anything though.
So my answer to both your questions is tin foil. I was actually just stuffing some foil between a bin & substrate to keep side pinning down and thought to myself "this stuff is better than duct tape!"
Excited by the many uses of tin foil. I'm definitely getting old.

Foil encourages side pinning by reflecting far more light than normal down into the substrate.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I knew that seemed too easy. Thanks for pointing it out though.
If anyone could share what they do to cut down on side pinning after the first flush and the substrate has shrunk away from the sides, i'd appreciate it. Searching around I read of people using casing mix to stuff between the sides, but I was trying to avoid mixing & pasteurizing a batch of casing mix after every flush.
Stuffing black plastic trash bags around the sides maybe? Or verm?

Line the bottom of the tray with a black trash bag. As the sub starts to shrink, the bag will stick to it, protecting it from light and air.
