sucess with plastic for mono lid

i have 2 mono's that are ready to be put into fruiting conditions and i dont have time or the money right now to alter the lids. (cut out hole and tape a piece of plexi-glass on there)
i was wondering if any of you have had any sucess with just taping some clear plastic over the top? do you usually cut some slits in it and cover them with micropore tape because it would be such a tight seal?
i do have the four 2" holes stuffed with poly in the tub.

Honestly I'd just go to walmart get a box cutter for $3 and some shower curtain vinyl $5 and cut out a square on top of the monotub and then use duct or gorilla tape to tape some vinyl on top of the hole in the lid.

Duct will fall off when it starts to get wet use gorilla tape.
You dont need to cut holes in the plastic it will be fine with the 4 holes you already have.

so you think the condensation underneath the plastic will make the duct tape on the outside of the mono, holding the plastic on fall off eventually?

Sorry thought that the tape would be inside the lid to make it look nice.

I use plastic on my monotubs for lids. No micropore, thats what the poly fill is for. Just tape it tight

No, you use the duct tape on the outside. The lid can even be used to fan with and the seal will hold perfectly fine.
