Msn article
What are the impacts of this act going to be, in your opinion. Do you think Musharif was involved with this? He is once again using this as an excuse to consider postponing elections again..
I'm just curious what you all think the repercussions are going to be with this. Nuclear War or just another Lunny Nuke-Armed dictator?

I'm not exactly sure why , but I was watching American television this morning (CNN) to follow the coverage of this. They had the declarations of every presidential candidates on the event. All of them mentioned terrorism and Islamic extremists. One even went as far as mentioning this was part of the jihad-ism.
I just don't see how this can be called terrorism... was Lee Harvey Oswald a terrorist? Since when are political assassinations considered terrorism? The posters of Musharif have been torn down and burnt. This is what the media had to say about it : "This clearly depicts the anger of the people , which is very irrational , because Musharif obviously didn't do it."
Strange. He'd be on the top of my list of suspects... but I'm no detective.
It's sad how little they talk of Bhutto in this whole story. The woman knew the dangers she was facing when she came back to Pakistan, and even after the first attack against her, her resolve did not weaken. She fought for what she stood for until death. I tip my hat to this true example of courage.

I'm with you man, I've been watching CNN all day waiting for them to talk about this womens amazing life. To no avail. The media is looking at this whole ordeal as a terrorist attack, they focus on the fear and death. Instead of looking at the amazing person that lost her life today, and the courage it took to do what she tried to do. Instead using the event as a way to drive more change in the right direction, they focus on the "terrorists" and the act. Which is exactly what any group would be looking to accomplish by doing something this horrible.
Frustrating. I really hope the Pakistani people keep her memory and goals alive. Thats the important thing.
A true freedom fighter.

Franz Ferdinand was an excuse for war, like Iraq having "WMD's".

actually...I was trying to point out that you're getting sucked into the media bullshit, and believing what it is that you're being told to believe (with, apparently, no understanding that this is exactly what the powers that be are wanting of you...which is to be controlled)
you're wasting your time getting caught up in all the bullshit details about this one...it's going to happen - period
but the less you allow yourself to get caught up in all the details - the less this bullshit is going to affect you...and the less likely that it is that you're going to react in the heat of the moment, and cause some big 'thing' to happen to give these people the reason to put us all in fucken concentration camps (for our own protection, mind you)
and it's jackasses like you that are gonna bring this shit about because you couldn't just let these fucktards play their stupid little games, and find out the hard way that we're not going to keep falling into these asinine little 'traps' of theirs that they use to pass whatever fucken laws they want to pass / and do whatever it is that they're inevitably going to do anyway
and THAT's what I was hinting at with my response (I just didn't go into detail, cause I knew you wouldn't follow anyway)
the only difference between me and you is that I'm not giving anybody a 'reason' to take my fucken freedoms away while sadly, it seems, that's exactly what you're trying to do by being the sort of person they want you to be
though I doubt you'd understand that one
