good/bad self-grown shrooms?!

hi all,
i'm pretty new to growing and i recently started off by using some ready-to-go growbox from some dutch supplier. first 2 flushes were great, resulted in lots of nice medium sized shrooms. but now with the third flush, things are a bit strange. there are only 4 (!) shrooms, but they are HUGE! ... when i harvested them, i noticed their shafts are ripped/cutted open a bit here and there. these cuts looking a bit blueish inside. besides these little cuts, the shrooms looked all nice & healthy. after drying and powderizing, the power is a lot more light then the powerder from the first 2 flushes. i'm worried that these cuts on the 4 big shrooms are a problem and flush might be contaminated. can you advise?
thanks!

I have noticed another type of breaking/peeling of the stem when the fruits are subjected to widely varying humidity. Usually the humidity will be high and pins will grow, then the humidity drops significantly for a duration long enough for the outside cells of the stem to callous, if the humidity is raised again the shroom starts to grow faster, but the calloused cells on the outside of the stem do not grow causing the outside layer to break and sometimes peel.
Joshua
Low humidity could also explain the bluing.

That doesn't sound like a contaminant. The lighter color may be due to dying them quicker or the stems (light) being much larger then the caps (dark). The stems cracking was probably due to low humidity.

Keep em on for now. if you notice mycelial growth begins to halt at some point, then consider loosening the tops under the most sterile conditions you can make....

Ok thx for that lil tip there man , greatly appreciated . I have yet another question. I have done some research on the forums here and I see that some recommend tking the tape off my hars and some recommend NOT doing it . So ok heres what i got going on...There is small spots on the jars now where mycelia is colonizing , i want to know should i take the tape off now and just cover with a loose foil layer so that the carbon dioxide build up will escape or not? I have 2 strains taking off now after a week of nothing , the alacabenzie and B+ strains. The Ban Lipa Yai is showing no signs of colonization yet and im thinking maybe because its a thailand strain it just might take a bit longer. So if i do put a loose foil lid over after emoving the tape do u all recommand me flip them over or get that tape back on there , or what? Ty for all the help and time to read this post . look forward to your alls input ~Drew~
