Have you learned something new? Changed your philosophy in anyway due to some debate here? Did you have fun? I certainly did. (all of that)
2008 is going to be a blast. clicky

I had fun in 2007. I didn't so much change my philosophy in any way, but rather developed it a great deal. I've had a good time both arguing and agreeing with you. I especially enjoy tag teaming as the voice of reason. Fun fun!

Yep! I learned that if a bunch of people believe something, then it must be true!

I guess I learned mostly that I cannot know the things I think I knew or want to know. My big freedom is to choose how to view my life and the events of it. Maybe I'm learning something important, but I will never know. Happy happy new year.

I have changed a lot this year, but I don't know best how to sum it up. My biggest goal for next year is to work on becoming less self-important by becoming more aware.
Oh, and what the thinker thinks, the prover proves.
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

I learned that posting in this forum is not very productive for me, and serves as little more than intellectual masturbation.

*No sarcasm intended*
What were your expectations? Were they realistic?
What great contributions have you made to set the bar far above the noise level?

I learned there's a lot of reasonable people.
There are the special unreasonable people.
And there are the people who think they're god's gift to philosophy.

Better than tv anyways, even I am absolutely stressed out by work, so I use P&S merely for recreational and inspirational purposes It's good for me to see not the total world going crazy by absolutisms. Here we have a relative open, fruitful exchange and proving of ideas, which I very much as a self-declared free thinker, and I hope I was able to contribute a little bit to it
All and/or nothing makes sense. Inbetween and from beyond.
Thank you P&S and its users.
